Color Dare #395 ~ Tic-Tac-Toe Aurora

This week we have another Fun Color Dare Challenge for you.  This week for Color Dare #395 we have our popular Tic-Tac-Toe board this time it is focused around the Aurora papers.  For this challenge you can use any diagonal, row or column, you can add in any of the other colors shown.  Blacks & Whites and all Neutrals are FREE.

I love this Aurora Paper pack!! It is one of my favorites!! I went with the Last column ~ Sapphire, Silver, Charcoal with Evergreen and Linen.

I decided to make a shaker card as it has been a while. I used the Happy Birthday Shaker Thin Cut . I cut the triangles in evergreen and sapphire. I used the silver stars confetti. I also used the new Aurora Cricut cuts to cut that fun wolf.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~  Color Dare #395  or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Northern Lights

I saw this amazing card created with a fellow consultant Sandy Zimmer and knew I had to recreate something like it.

This background is completely sponged. I started by stamping my wolf from Wild and Free Stamp set in Black pigment ink, then used Clear Embossing Powder. I then made a wolf mask by stamping it on a scratch paper and then fussy cutting. I stamped the evergreen trees from Aurora ~ Scrapbooking Stamp set. I used the Black pigment ink, then used Clear Embossing Powder like I did for the wolf. I did use the mask of the wolf when I stamped to make the trees appear to be behind the wolf. Then I started with the background. I used Mint, Carolina, Pixie, Raspberry, Canary and Peacock inks for the sky. I used Charcoal and Evergreen or the ground. I did use the wolf mask to prevent discoloring the wolf. To soften the norther lights I spritzed our stamp cleaner. I then used my embossing pen to dot the background. I then used white embossing power to make the stars. I used my markers to color the wolf. I then used my Rectangle Thin Cuts to get the stitched border.

I have stamped the inside of this card with a Happy Father’s day as I know my husband would love this card.

Color Dare #135 badge

I remember seeing a card like this on Pinterest but I did not save it so I don’t remember who to give credit to as my inspiration.  I am always looking for masculine cards so this one will be great for my stash.

Wolf and Fox EOS Valentine

I posted a few days ago a valentines card which included an EOS lip balm for my son’s teachers, which you can find HERE.   I mentioned on that post I designed two more for my boys.  Well here they are.

wolf & fox EOS Valentine ~

I really love these two little critters.  I cut theses with my Silhouette and added a 1.5 inch circle to the design where the nose of the fox and wolf would be. Each of the critters has seven layers so I had to line up the 1.5  inch circle in the exact same place on each of the layers. I decided since I was giving this to my son and husband it would design this one with just the EOS and not including the packaging.  I added the double heart and stamped it using Holiday Tags stamp set 1560.  As my son will say “thats so cute”.

Countdown to Spring/Summer Idea Book ~2

We are so close… only two more days and then you can order some of these new products I have been showcasing the past 10 days.

Today I am featuring one of my favorite stamps.  As you may know animals have always been a big part of my life and so I gravitate to most animals but dogs, foxes, moose and wolves are my favorite.  So I was really excited to see the Do Your Best C1573 stamp set….

I look forward to using it in some scrapbook layouts particularly of photos I have from Wolf Haven and when I went on the Wolf Discovory tour in Yellow Stone a couple of years ago. (yes, I am years behind in scrapbooking but I keep plugging hoping that one day I can catch up ~in my dreams 😉 )  Since I am not ready to do those scrapbook pages yet but now I have motivation. I started with a card for now to get your interest up.

CTMH Do Your Best ~ birthday card

To create this great masculine birthday card I used Chocolate and Colonial White Cardstock with the new Timberline paper pack.  The sentiment shape was cut using my Silhouette.  I used the Chocolate bakers twine from the neutral assortment which will be retiring Z1701 and the antiqued copper studs are from the Mini-Melody Accents Rosewood Collection Z1857.  The happy birthday sentiment is from Joyful Birthdays B1419.
