If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.   For this hop we have about 20 consultants participating and you are going to see some fabulous artwork.

I had so much fun playing with the Perk Up Stamp and Thin Cuts. This is one of my favorites stamp sets!!!! Here is a few cards using some fall colors.

This was the first one I created. I used the Toffee, Saffron, Sangria, and Sapphire ink and random stamped the coffee rings from the Perk Up Stamp and Thin Cuts. I used Hawthorn paper pack for the sleeve on the Sapphire cup. I also added the beautiful sangria ribbon but since it is too thick I cut it in half and it worked out great.

This was the second one I created using Almond, Goldrush, Peacock and Espresso colors. I used my Espresso Pigment ink for the stamped images. I used the Perk Up Stamp and Thin Cuts and Autumn Blessing Stamp and Thin Cuts. I used my watercolor paints to add the splatter to the French Vanilla cardstock. I also played with the Build a Plaid Stamp Set to create the plaid behind the coffee cup.

My final card is the same design idea as the first, but uses the Hawthorn paper pack for the base. I featured Sangria, Saffron, Black, Pebble and French Vanilla. I used Mink Twine in place of the Sangria Ribbon.

Heart 2 Heart ~ National Stamping Month

Welcome to another weekly challenge with Heart 2 Heart!

This is a fun challenge!! Close to My Heart has two awesome stamp sets they are offering with this celebration which you can use or simply use any stamp on your project. Remember you do need to use at least one Close to My Heart product.

I have two cards to share with you today. The first is a fall themed one.

I love the images with the Fall stamp set Giving Thanks. So I had fun with Saffron, Sangria, Paprika and Sage inks. I stamped the rest of the images with Espresso Pigment ink and then played with our new Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend Markers. They are so fun and easy to blend!! I also added a bit of the Sangria Ribbon and some Wooden Arrows.

I also designed this winter card using the Dash of Joy Stamp set. I stamped the images in Versamark Ink and then heat embossed them with White Embossing Powder. I cut the Silver Glitter Paper using the Rectangle Stitched Thin Cut. I added a bit of the Silver Embellishing Thread and I piece of Velum to add another layer to the card.. I am so happy that we have Stickles!! I have to admit I have sort of forgot how fun these are to work with. I wanted to add some color besides the Sapphire, Daisy White and Silver. I used the Black Diamond, Christmas Red and Silver Stickles.

Now it is your time to give it a try and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until September 30th to participate in this challenge. We love to see your inspirations!!

Heart 2 Heart ~ From Me to You

Are you ready for another fun challenge from Heart 2 Heart?

I decided to focus on this month’s Stamp of the Month which has this same title. I really love this stamp set as it has so many fun sayings. I also love two cards that Close to My Heart featured recently on Facebook that you can see HERE. I decided to recreate these with different colors.

The original one was with pinks… I prefer purple. I used Thistle and Lilac with Sage for the leaves. I used the Stitched Flowers and then cut the rest of the flowers using Cricut Flower Market. On the original card Close to My Heart did real stitching around the card, I used a white gel pen to create my stitching. I then used a few loose Silver Sequins.

With this card I changed the colors and the sentiment. I used the Party Balloons stamp set. I chose Carolina with the black, white and Seasonal Mix-in paper. I used a white gel pen to create my stitching. and added a few loose Silver Sequins.

Now it is your time to give it a try and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until August 31st to participate in this challenge. We love to see your inspirations!!

H2H Adventure Awaits

Welcome to another week and another challenge from Heart 2 Heart!

There are so many Adventures in life and we can celebrate these moments in many way. For me I love to Scrapbook them. This spring we went on a camping trip. We went with a large group of friend (there were over 30 adults and 20 kids) to Fruita, CO. We took over most of the campground so it was fun to just let the kids run wild. This was a big step for us as this was the first time our son has camped and it has been over 40 years for myself.

We had a great time! I love this paper pack Into the Wild, it is probably one of my all time favorites from Close to My Heart!! So when I started this layout, I seriously agonized over it for three days!! You know this happens when you really love a paper pack and want everything to be perfect. Part of my struggle was I wanted to include so many photos and was trying to accomplish with just flip flaps. I finally decided to go with Pocket Plus pages so that I could incorporate some of the Picture My Life Cards from Into the Wild.

This is the base layout

I added a few details to show you some of the unique elements. For starters I used two other pattern papers to piece together with Heather and White Daisy cardstock to make the camper. I also used the grass stamp from the Happy Trails Stamp set and Thin Cut. I also used many of Into the Wild Wood Shapes.

Here is another detail showing the stamped border I created using New England Ivy ink and cardstock using the pine trees from the Happy Trails Stamp set. I used Espresso Pigment ink to stamp the logs and Intense black to stamp the fire. I then use watercolors to paint the fire.

August Stamp of the Month ~ From Me to You

Welcome to the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!! This month we are featuring August’s stamp of the month ~ FROM ME TO YOU (S1908) a set of 38.

If you are coming here from KATY TAYLOR’S Blog, then you are in the right spot ~ Welcome!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.  This month we have around 14 consultants participating this month so you are sure to be inspired.

I was inspired by a card that was given out at the Consultant Showcase  at our Close to My Heart Convention this past month.  It was made by Kathy Corson. I then saw a flower tutorial that Miss. Carrie Creations did using velum with the Stitched Flowers and decided to try.  Here is my creation.

I love these Stitched Flowers Thin Cuts!! I cut one layer in Sapphire and one layer in Velum.  I then sponged Sapphire ink over the velum.  I cut the petals down towards the center so they would curl and pop up more.  I used the fringe thin cut from the Decorative Border set to make the flower center in Sugarplum.  I curled the fringe using my quilling tool.  I used the True Love Paper Pack for the card. I paired it with the Sugarplum cardstock and glitter paper.  And a card would not be complete without a bit of bling so I added some Sugarplum glitter gems.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of AUGUST and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!

Your next stop is along this hop is MICHELLE STEWART’S Blog, so hop on over and see what wonderful creation she has for you today.

Heart 2 Heart ~ On the Border

Welcome to another weekly challenge with Heart 2 Heart!

This weeks challenge theme is ON THE BORDER.  For this challenge you can interpret this in any way you see fit. The first thing I  thought about was using some border stamps or possibly our thin cuts.  Here is what I created.

I had this idea to design a back to school card for my son to give to his teacher on the first day of school.  I really love the stamp set Making the Grade and wanted to create with it. I love the writing lines stamp and had an idea to use this border stamp as the main focus.  I stamped it on Lemon, Willow, Bluebird, Candy Apple, and Nectarine Cardstock.  I also love the cute pencil, ruler and apple. I stamped these then fussy cut them and colored with my alcohol markers.  I then used my Silver Sequins and created a shaker.  I love how easy it is to create a shaker as you simply need Shaker Foam & Acetate and Thin Cut Shaker Window & Confetti.

I am also linking up with a couple challenges this week:

Double Trouble Challenge ~ for their Something Anything Challange.

Simon Says Challenge ~ Bright and Cheerful

Now it is your time to give it a try and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until August 3rd to participate in this challenge. We love to see your inspirations!!

Color Dare #353 ~ Purples

Welcome to another week of Color Dare!  This week we have a good one for you.  This weeks challenge is PURPLES!  You can use up to two neutrals and BLACK & WHITES are free.

I LOVE PURPLE!!! It is my favorite color so I was excited to design something for this challenge.

I used the True Love Paper Pack for the background as it features Eggplant and the purple striped is perfect.  I used Lilac cardstock to cut the lace with the Lace Border Thin Cuts. The ribbon is retired but I still love it and have been saving for for that perfect project.  I used the Fancy Tags on White Daisy cardstock. The stamp set used is one of my all time favorites, Know I Care, unfortunately it is now retired.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~ Color Dare #353 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Technique Hop – Mix It Up!

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!

This month we are focusing on Mix It Up.   With every Idea book there is a fun Seasonal Mix In paper pack.  For this hop we can feature this pack or mix up different paper packs.  This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork. If you are coming from KATY TAYLOR’S Blog, you are on the right track!

I decided to focus on the Seasonal Mix In paper pack.

This pack features black and whites with Ballerina. I decided to use the Share the Joy thin cut as I am loving this set!!  The sentiment is from the Share the Joy – Bunches of Joy Stamp Set. For embellishments I used the Hello Pumpkin Shapes and the White Ribbon.  When I saw those cute black flowers in the Loose Crafty Sequins, I started to save them because I envisioned using just them in a shaker.  I know you are probably thinking I am crazy to have picked then out but I am so glad I did!

To make the mini-shakers I used last months Technique I showcased in using flip flaps to make shakers.  I used a flip flap and cut it to 1.25 x 1.25 inch squares. Then using the circles to help be the guide to place the foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto TERRY METZGER’S BLOG where you will find some additional artwork!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought and happy hopping!

Happy Friday!! Hope you are having a wonderful Fourth of July!!  This week for Color Dare #350 we have a great Inspiration Photo – 4th of July. Pick colors that you see in the photo and BLACK , WHITE and NEUTRALS are free!

I could not resits creating a layout celebrating this holiday.  I choose a photo from 4 years ago as I am that far behind in scrapbooking.

I used a combination of papers for this layout.  The red and white polka dot is from Magical which retired.  The blue stars is from the Into the Wild Paper Pack. The base page is from retired Feels Like Home.  I created the other Candy Apple paper by using Glossy Texture Paste and Stencil Sheets. I used my Cricut to cut the Fireworks Overlay. Here is a close up of the paper.

I also used the Spark Joy special Thin Cuts to cut the banner which I used for journaling.  I used some of the loose sequins form Crafty and the red sequins are retired.  I used the star thin cuts which are now retired and stacked them.  The circle are cut using my Cricut and the stitched circle is a Lawn Fawn die.  The stamp is Happy 4th of July.
