I love this paper pack, the colors are some of my favorite!! I decided to do a memorial page for one of our dogs. This was one of the last photos I have of her. I used Lilac as the base page along with Grape, Glacier, Nectarine, Lemonade, Sapphire, Daisy White and the In This Together paper collection.

I cut the two scalloped edges with my Cricut. I also used the Build-a-Rainbow thin cuts with the Charming Backgrounds Stamp set. I used the Simple Serif Uppercase Font and thin cuts.

I used the heart stencil from Stencil Pack 1 with the Opaque matte texture paste plus a bit of Grape Ink mixed in.

I used a heart shaker as a fun detail with the heart shaker window foam and acetate and Heart Shaker Window Thin Cuts. I used the Rainbow Bridge stamp set that is still available online.

Color Dare #434 ~ Love of Color

Welcome to Color Dare #434! This week we are doing our Love of Color Challenge and it is a great one! It features Wisteria, Grape, Lagoon, Blue Belle, Sage and Canary. You must use at least three of these colors. You can include Black, White and Neutrals with Silver being optional.

I went for all the colors except Sage. I did use Black, White and silver. Rainbows are everywhere these days but they are not always traditional colors. I also love the cards in the new March -April Idea Book that I decided to duplicate rather than reinvent.

I basically used the same design just changed the colors. I pulled the canary pattern paper from the Jan/Feb seasonal mix in papers. I added some Blue Belle Shimmer trim. I used the new Build-a-Rainbow Thin cuts and the Charming Background stamp set. The sentiment if from Sunny Days Ahead stamp set. I then used a few of the Silver Star Confetti or a bit of bling.

Welcome to Color Dare #433!! This weeks color dare is a fun Tic-Tac-Toe board which uses random colors and not based on a paper pack. You can choose any column, row, or diagonal. Blacks, Whites, Neutrals, Gold and Silver are FREE. We love to see your ideas so pleas play along with us!

I could not resit playing with some of the new products that Close to My Heart will be releasing in just a couple of days. So you are getting a SNEAK PEEK at a couple. I went with the diagonal Lilac, Flamingo and Glacier. I did add in silver and some neutrals.

The sneak peeks are the heart paper which if from the upcoming Seasonal Mix-ins, the adorable girl is Olivia which is one of four cute girls who will be making their debut. The other two sneak peaks are the sentiment and the dots. I used the Make it From Your Heart Volume 4 to design this card.

I used the Flamingo Shimmer trim and Flamingo Shimmer Brush. to add the pops of Flamingo with the Lilac and Glacier. The Dots are also flamingo.

I added a Silver Foil Paper behind the White Daisy. Olivia was colored using my Spectrum Noir Markers. I did add a touch of Silver Marker to her bracelet and earrings, which I hope you can see here.

Technique Blog Hop ~ It’s Faux

Welcome to the It’s Faux Blog Hop!

This month we are exploring techniques that use striped borders. If you notice in the above photo there are several stamped border images creating a striped pattern. I used some of these and crated my own. If you are coming from BRANDI ROBINSON’s Blog, you are on the right track! If you get lost you can find a full list of participants HERE we have about 13 makers participating in this hop.

I designed two cards for you. One using the faux wood tiles of the Letter Tiles Stamp and Thin Cuts. The other is using the wood grain papers.

I used the flower stencil from Stencil Pack 1 with Peacock Feathers Oxide Ink. I then sprayed with two of the Lime Green and Cheddar Gloss Spray. I used the Letter Tiles Stamp and Thin Cuts on Almond Cardstock. I used Toffee and Black Ink. I added a couple of the Wood Hearts which I colored with Mustard Seed Oxide ink.

With this card, I used a technique that Brenda Rose showed to fellow makers to apply ink to the wood grain papers. I used the Seedless preserves on one of the wood grain paper. I used Pewter as the base. The flowers are from the Every Bit of Wonderful stamp set. The flowers and leaves were fussy cut. I used the Scalloped Stitched Bracket Thin Cut for the sentiment. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the On Your Birthday Stamp Set

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto WENDY KESSLER’s Blog where you will find some additional artwork!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought and happy hopping!
