August Stamp of the Month ~ From Me to You

Welcome to the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!! This month we are featuring August’s stamp of the month ~ FROM ME TO YOU (S1908) a set of 38.

If you are coming here from KATY TAYLOR’S Blog, then you are in the right spot ~ Welcome!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.  This month we have around 14 consultants participating this month so you are sure to be inspired.

I was inspired by a card that was given out at the Consultant Showcase  at our Close to My Heart Convention this past month.  It was made by Kathy Corson. I then saw a flower tutorial that Miss. Carrie Creations did using velum with the Stitched Flowers and decided to try.  Here is my creation.

I love these Stitched Flowers Thin Cuts!! I cut one layer in Sapphire and one layer in Velum.  I then sponged Sapphire ink over the velum.  I cut the petals down towards the center so they would curl and pop up more.  I used the fringe thin cut from the Decorative Border set to make the flower center in Sugarplum.  I curled the fringe using my quilling tool.  I used the True Love Paper Pack for the card. I paired it with the Sugarplum cardstock and glitter paper.  And a card would not be complete without a bit of bling so I added some Sugarplum glitter gems.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of AUGUST and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!

Your next stop is along this hop is MICHELLE STEWART’S Blog, so hop on over and see what wonderful creation she has for you today.

Happy Crafting!

Emboss It! – CTMH Technique Blog Hop

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!

This month there are around 8 of us highlighting Embossing!  Embossing can be done in a couple of ways, one is considered dry embossing and another is heat embossing.  This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork. If you are coming from VALERIE KAPSHA’S Blog, you are on the right track!

I decided to use both heat and dry embossing.  I saw this card by Becca Whitham which was my inspiration. I used heat embossing for the sentiment.  I stamped with Versamark then used White embossing powder.  The then used the scalloped embossing folder to dry embossing the sugarplum cardstock. I framed the scalloped cardstock with a white stitched rectangle cut using the Stitched Rectangle Thin Cuts. The sentiment and butterflies are from Butterfly Friendship stamp set. I stamped the butterfly with Intense Black Ink and then colored them with the Watercolor Pencils.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto DARLYS RECKER’S BLOG where you will find some additional artwork Embossing!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought and happy hopping!

I was inspired by a beautiful card designed by Krista Hershberger as she used Sugarplum and Snowflakes.

I used Sugarplum cardstock, Ink, and Glitter paper. I cut the snowflakes with Winter Flurries Thin Cuts and the Sugarplum Glitter Paper.  I then used the Holiday Borders Stamp Set and stamped snowflakes with Sugarplum ink. I added a few of the Sugarplum Glitter Gems.
