Color Dare #350 ~ Inspiration Photo – 4th of July

Happy Friday!! Hope you are having a wonderful Fourth of July!!  This week for Color Dare #350 we have a great Inspiration Photo – 4th of July. Pick colors that you see in the photo and BLACK , WHITE and NEUTRALS are free!

I could not resits creating a layout celebrating this holiday.  I choose a photo from 4 years ago as I am that far behind in scrapbooking.

I used a combination of papers for this layout.  The red and white polka dot is from Magical which retired.  The blue stars is from the Into the Wild Paper Pack. The base page is from retired Feels Like Home.  I created the other Candy Apple paper by using Glossy Texture Paste and Stencil Sheets. I used my Cricut to cut the Fireworks Overlay. Here is a close up of the paper.

I also used the Spark Joy special Thin Cuts to cut the banner which I used for journaling.  I used some of the loose sequins form Crafty and the red sequins are retired.  I used the star thin cuts which are now retired and stacked them.  The circle are cut using my Cricut and the stitched circle is a Lawn Fawn die.  The stamp is Happy 4th of July.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~ Color Dare #350 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Color Dare #336 ~ Tic-Tac-Toe Feels Like Home

This week we have another Fun Color Dare Challenge for you.  This week for Color Dare #336 we have the ever popular Tic-Tac-Toe board with Feels Like Home colors.  For this challenge you can use any diagonal, row or column, you can add in any of the other colors and Neutrals are free!

I chose the middle column Sapphire, Sugarplum and Silver.  I also used neutrals white, black and gray.

robbie the raccoon ~ catscrapbooking ~ texture paste ~ thin cuts

I created the brick background with a stencil I created using CTMH Stencil Sheets. The brick pattern is from Artbooking Cartridge. I then used Opaque Matte Texture Paste and added a two drops of Sapphire Re-inker to color it blue. The racoon, trash can and hearts are Technique Tuesday’s Robbie the Raccoon. I framed the card in Charcoal with the Rectangle Stitched Thin Cuts.

I stamped the hearts with Sugarplum ink on Sugarplum cardstock.  I then used the Sugarplum Shimmer brush to add some sparkle. My Silver is the Silver Glitter Gems.

I don’t always stamp the inside of the cards, but for this card I decided to as I couldn’t resist using those cute paw prints.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~ Color Dare #336 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Fun with Stencils

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!  This month there are 8 of us highlighting Fun with Stencils. This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.

If you are coming from MICHELLE LONCAR BLOG, you are on the right track!

So I decided to to utilize one of the succulents from the Flower Market Cricut Cartridge. So I cut them at varying sizes along with the base layer.

Then I placed the cut outs on white cardstock starting in the middle.  Once the succulent was sponged I then took the base layer and masked that spot.  I then layered all the different succulents, sponging and masking as I added layers.

This is how the base turned out.  I then added a sentiment.

I used the Little Dreamer Paper Pack for the strip and Blossom cardstock for the oval.  I used the new oval thin cuts.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto JUDY FAYE GARNER’S BLOG where you will find some additional artwork highlighting this technique!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought of my variation and happy hopping!
