Color Dare #398 ~ Tic-Tac-Toe ~ Stitched Together

This week we have another Fun Color Dare Challenge for you.  This week for Color Dare #398 we have our popular Tic-Tac-Toe board this time it is focused around the Stitched Together papers.  For this challenge you can use any diagonal, row or column, you can add in any of the other colors shown.  Blacks & Whites and all Neutrals are FREE

I chose to use all the colors plus black and white.

For this layout I used the Stitched Together Paper Pack. I used my Sapphire Shimmer Brush to add splatters to the Daisy White cardstock. I pulled some red dots from my stash.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~  Color Dare #398  or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Train Museum Scrapbook Page

Here is another page from the fall of 2014. One of my son’s favorite places to go during these years was the Colorado Railroad Museum. So of course when his grandparents came to visit he wanted them to see it.

For this layout I used the retired Swan Lake paper pack and coordinating stickers and acrylics.

Golfing Layout

I have really been trying to catch up (as if that is ever possible) on my scrapbooking. I am making some progress as I have almost completed 2014.

I used a retired paper pack called Falling for You. This was perfect since the boys were golfing in November.

Baking Layout

Do you hoard stamps and supplies for that perfect layout? I am finally tapping into some of those items that I have been stock piling.

I have been holding onto the Gimme Some Sugar ~ Cardmakeing stamp set and thin cuts, just for this occasion. I love when my son helps in the kitchen even if it is only to make his favorite cookies. I used all retired papers. The Ruby pattern papers are from a few years ago when CTMH offered patten papers in each collection. The black and white and zip strips are from a Mix-in paper pack that has retired.

Cool Dude Layout

I have to say one of the positive things to come out of our stay home orders is I am finding a bit of time to work in my craft room. Even better is I am completing a few layouts. I have completed more layouts in the last two months than I did in the entire year of 2019. Here is another single page layout I am going to share with you.

I did pull some retired papers from a couple of the mix-in paper packs and used the amazing Glossy Cardstock from Blue Skies. I also pulled some of the wooden shapes which are now retired and used my Black shimmer brush on them. I used the Stitched Bracket Frame thin cuts. I used Charcoal Re-inker with a watercolor paint brush to crate the splatters.

Saying Goodbye for Now

Here is a layout that I have been putting off completing as I struggling to find the right papers. I decided it was time just to let it go, as there may never be a perfect paper.

I have to say I am pleased the way it worked out. I used some papers from my stash one is a retired Close to My heart pattern. I used the stitched flowers with Daisy White, Goldrush, and Sage.

Hope you are finding the silver lining to the uncertain times we are experiencing.

Color Dare #366 ~ Tic-Tac-Toe Hawthorn

This week we have another Fun Color Dare Challenge for you.  This week for Color Dare #366 we have our popular Tic-Tac-Toe board this time it correlates to the Hawthorn paper pack.  For this challenge you can use any diagonal, row or column, you can add in any of the other colors shown.  Blacks & Whites are FREE but NO other neutrals.

I love the rich colors of the Hawthorn paper pack. They are great for fall photos. I started with the first column ~ Sangria, Charcoal, & Saffron then added Sage, Sapphire, Toffee, Paprika and Pebble.

I used the Hawthorn paper pack with the stickers to create this page. I also used the Hawthorn Complements for the journaling hexagon.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~  Color Dare #366  or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Thin Cuts Blog Hop

Welcome to the Thin Cuts Blog Hop!!

You will be hopping with the same talented consultants who bring you the Stamp of the Month blog hop.  For this hop we are featuring artwork which showcases our THIN CUTS. I am sure you will find a wide variety of inspirations on this hop.

If you are just arriving here from KRISTA HERSHBERGER’S Blog, or just starting at my blog then you are on the right track ~ Welcome!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.   For this hop we have about 19 consultants participating and you are going to see some fabulous artwork.

I designed this first day of school layout using the So Much Happy paper pack. I also used Candy Apple, Lemon, Lagoon, Kraft, White, Clover, Linen, Sapphire, Black, and Charcoal. I used a couple Cricut cuts and my thin cuts.

I used the adorable Paper Pals Base and Paper Pals Boywith the coordinating thin cuts. Since the thin cut base is for kids and adults I cut the legs a bit so that the kid would be a bit shorter.  I also used a couple of the tags from the Fancy Tag Thin Cuts.

My son who is now 7 will sometimes like to craft with me. He was hanging out with me in my craft room while I was working on the layout.  He asked if he could play with this stamp set too.  I had to share his creation as I think is turned out super cute!! He even added a few of the Paper Pal Pets.

Happy Place Layout

I was able to play around in my craft room again this weekend ~ Yippee!!! I am finally getting to some of my stacks of layouts to complete done.  I pulled this one of my son and his first electric train set from 2013.  I pulled the Swan Lake paper pack which is now retired to work with.  I really like how it turned out.

The tittle comes from the Dreamin’ Big complements.  The white acrylic was not showing up so I colored them with my shin han marker.
