Welcome to the In This Together Blog Hop!!

Today you will be hopping with the same talented Makers who bring you the Stamp of the Month blog hop. For this hop we are featuring the special In This Together paper collection.  I am sure you are going to see some great artwork.

If you are just arriving here from MISS CARRIE’S CREATIONS, or just starting at my blog then you are on the right track ~ Welcome!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating Makers on Melinda’s blog HERE.   For this hop we have about 16 Makers participating and you are going to see some fabulous artwork.

I love this paper pack, the colors are some of my favorite!! I decided to do a memorial page for one of our dogs. This was one of the last photos I have of her. I used Lilac as the base page along with Grape, Glacier, Nectarine, Lemonade, Sapphire, Daisy White and the In This Together paper collection.

I cut the two scalloped edges with my Cricut. I also used the Build-a-Rainbow thin cuts with the Charming Backgrounds Stamp set. I used the Simple Serif Uppercase Font and thin cuts.

I used the heart stencil from Stencil Pack 1 with the Opaque matte texture paste plus a bit of Grape Ink mixed in.

I used a heart shaker as a fun detail with the heart shaker window foam and acetate and Heart Shaker Window Thin Cuts. I used the Rainbow Bridge stamp set that is still available online.

Your next stop is along this hop is WENDY KESSLER’S Blog, so hop on over and see what wonderful creation she has for you today.

Color Dare #434 ~ Love of Color

Welcome to Color Dare #434! This week we are doing our Love of Color Challenge and it is a great one! It features Wisteria, Grape, Lagoon, Blue Belle, Sage and Canary. You must use at least three of these colors. You can include Black, White and Neutrals with Silver being optional.

I went for all the colors except Sage. I did use Black, White and silver. Rainbows are everywhere these days but they are not always traditional colors. I also love the cards in the new March -April Idea Book that I decided to duplicate rather than reinvent.

I basically used the same design just changed the colors. I pulled the canary pattern paper from the Jan/Feb seasonal mix in papers. I added some Blue Belle Shimmer trim. I used the new Build-a-Rainbow Thin cuts and the Charming Background stamp set. The sentiment if from Sunny Days Ahead stamp set. I then used a few of the Silver Star Confetti or a bit of bling.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~  Color Dare #434  or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page. You can also link up via Pinterest, Instagram, Flickr and  other forums. For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Heart 2 Heart ~ Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Welcome to another weekly challenge with Heart 2 Heart!

This week our theme is Somewhere Over the Rainbow. You can interpret this anyway you wish. The most obvious is to include an actual rainbow or maybe a rainbow of colors, it is totally up to you. Just remember you must include at least one Close to My Heart product in your creation.

I used the Blue Skies stamp set to make this card. I used Sapphire pigment ink for the sentiment and then used clear embossing powder. I used Candy Apple, Nectarine, Lemonade, Green Apple, Bluebird, Wisteria, and Eggplant inks to color the rainbow. I used the Stitched Rectangle Frame Thin Cuts to cut the Carolina base.

I also created a couple other cards using a polygon die from Honey bee Stamps to create these rainbow inspired cards.

I used the Stitched Rectangle Frame to cut the Eggplant and Candy Apple bases. I cut the sentiments three times and then stacked so it added more dimension.

Now it is your time to create something and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until May 31st to participate in this challenge. Make sure you include at least one Close to My Heart product. We love to see your inspirations!!

Heart 2 Heart ~ Cutting it Close

Welcome to another weekly challenge with Heart 2 Heart!

This week our theme is CUTTING IT CLOSE ~ This can be fussy cutting, using thin cuts, Cricut cuts, or any other cutting device. I love the new interactive thin cuts that Close to my Heart came out. I wanted to play with these.

For this card I used the Card Front Spinner Card Thin Cut paired with Rainbow Wishes Stamp Set. To create this cute spinner you will use foam tape plus a silver brad. I also fussy cut the clouds. I decided after the fact to add some splatters with my shimmer brushes. I used Sapphire, Red, Clear, and Mint.

Now it is your time to create something and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until January 31st to participate in this challenge. We love to see your inspirations!!
