Technique Hop – “Stamping on Cardstock”

Welcome to the Stamping on Cardstock Blog Hop!

This month we are highlighting stamping on cardstock! So it is up to the Maker to pick the products and how they wish to showcase. If you are coming from MELISSA ROBINSON’s Blog, you are on the right track! If you get lost you can find a full list of participants HERE we have about 9 makers participating in this hop.

Here are the cards I created. I will go into detail about each one.

For this card I used Toffee Cardstock to stamp the Fox from the Wildflower Friendship stamp set. I used Espresso pigment ink and then heat embossed Clear embossing powder. I used my watercolor paints to color the image. I really like how our watercolor paints pop on darker cardstock. I used the Mix-in Paper Pack for the base. I then added a few of the Loose Autumn Sequins.

This card was done the same way at the one above but I used the revers of the mix-in paper for background and I stamped on Kraft paper. You can see there is a subtle difference in how the paints show up.

With this card I stamped tone on tone. I used New England Ivy, Paprika, Papaya and Sundance cardstock and inks. I used a different patten paper from the Mix-in Paper Pack. I used the a World with October stamp and thin cuts. I used my Watercolor pencils to do a bit of shading on the pumpkins. I then added a few of those Loose Autumn Sequins.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto HALEY DYER’s Blog where you will find some additional artwork!  Be sure to leave a comment and happy hopping!

Heart 2 Heart ~ Fall

Welcome to another weekly challenge with Heart 2 Heart!

Fall is my favorite time of the year as the colors begin to change and living here is Colorado we get to see it. I grew up in Louisiana and there really is no fall colors like you have here. It also mean the temperatures are cooler. Need I go on….

So I have seen a few people designing cards and using burlap, so I decided it was my time. I used the Layered Leaves Thin Cuts to cut the maple leaf out of burlap. I used Goldrush, Sangria, Fern, and Paprika cardstock. I used Autumn Blessing Stamp Set and Thin Cuts. I watercolored the pumpkins using our watercolor pencils.

I knew I needed to add a bit of shimmer or bling so I added a bit of Gold Glitter paper and then splattered the card with my Gold Shimmer Brush.

Now it is your time to give it a try and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until October 31st to participate in this challenge. We love to see your inspirations!!

I have also entered this card in the Simon Says Monday Challenge which is also Fall/Autumn.

Pathfinding Kits

Well I have just finished the kits for the beautiful Pathfinding paper pack.  I love fall and all the colors.  Not to mention I always have lots of photos to scrapbook this time of year with Thanksgiving, picking pumpkins, going to farms and just all the beautiful colors around us.  Although I have to say I am now spoiled with all these things; however, growing up in New Orleans you don’t really get to appreciate the change of colors.

I am going to be offering two levels to Pathfinding scrapbook kits.  There will be a Basic and a WOTG (you are not going to compete the actually layouts in the WOTG but use all the elements).

The Basic

Pathfinding Fall Colors ~ catscrpbooking

Pathfinding Family layout ~ catscrapbooking.comFor the basic kit you will get all the shapes and paper pre-cut, the shimmer trim and ribbon you see in the photos.  You will also receive color photo and directions for assembly.  The cost is $14 plus shipping.  If you want the Pathfinding assortment as shown in these layouts the total cost is $22 plus shipping.

The WOTG Kit:

Pathfinding Family Layout ~ catscrapbooking.comFor this kit you will be purchasing the WOTG which includes the stamp set used, the Pathfinding assortment and the Gems.  However you will not be completing the layouts shown in the WOTG.   You will have some left over paper.  I will cut all the paper for you and send you the additional shimmer trim, and ribbon.  I will also include color photos and the directions to assemble.  The cost of this kit is $38.50 plus shipping.

Keep in mind I still have my Chalk It Up Kit and the Scarey Cat mini album kit available too.  I will be posting the details of my Snowhaven notecard kit very soon, so watch for the details.

Fall Harvest

The other day we were brain storming a cute fall/thanksgiving craft we could do at out MOMS Club monthly meeting.  Of course we were searching Pinterest as this is a great resource to help with creative ideas among other things.  Well we keep seeing these adorable paper pumpkins and decided this would be perfect.  So I cam home and got to work.

Paper Pumpkins

These are really simple to make.  I cut strips of paper 1″ x 8 1/2″ for the large one, 1″ x 7″ for the medium one and 1″ x 6″ for the small one.  The larger two pumpkins i used twelve strips and with the small pumpkin I used ten.  To add a bit of dimension I ran the strips through my Cuttle Bug with different embossing folders.  I used a Crop-a-dile to punch holes in the ends of the strips and secured them with a brad at each end.  The leaves  I cut using my Silhouette and the Fall Harvest stamp set.  The tendrils are 1/4″ x 12″ strips of paper that are curled.
