Welcome to another weekly challenge with Heart 2 Heart!
This weeks challenge is Bluebird. Bluebird is one of the Close to My Heart Colors which is one of my favorites. So for me I decided to focus on that color; however you could also consider using a bluebird in your design. We are excited to see what you may come up with for this challenge. Just remember you must use at least one Close to My Heart product in your submission.
I recently stumbled on this cute stamp set by Picket Fence Studio. I had fun playing with it for this weeks Color Dare Challenge that used two of the other blues in the Close to My Heart pallet ~ Sapphire and Carolina. So I knew I wanted to use it again for the Bluebird Challenge.
For this card I used a fish stencil with Opaque Texture paste which I added a couple of drops of Bluebird re-inker to. I used the Stitched Circle Thin cuts and sponged Bluebird onto it. I used Bluebird ink to watercolor my narwhal. I then pulled a few of the bluebird colored sequins from the Loose Crafty Sequins.
Now it is your time to create something and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until January 31st to participate in this challenge. We love to see your inspirations!!

Happy Friday! This week we have another Fun Color Dare Challenge for you. This week for Color Dare #378 it is our Love of Color. This week our colors are NEW ENGLAND IVY, PEWTER, SAPPHIRE, CAROLINA, SAFFRON, and SAGE. Simply choose at least 3 of the Colors – Black and White are neutrals are free.
I found this super cute narwhal stamp set from and knew it would work for this challenge.
I used this fish stencil from Picket Fence on Carolina cardstock. I used sponged Sapphire ink. The stamp set Unicorn of the Sea is also by Picket Fence. I stamped in black ink then used Sage ink to watercolor the narwhals. I used the new Stitched Bracket Thin Cuts to cut the Pewter cardstock. The zip strip is from a retired Seasonal Mix In paper pack. I used White Glitter paper behind the zip strip.
Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors. Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~ Color Dare #378 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page. For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project. We love to see your inspirations.

Happy New Year!!! Welcome to another weekly challenge with Heart 2 Heart!
Try something new can be interpreted in many ways. It could be a new technique or a new fancy fold card or even using new products or even new equipment.
For me, my try something new is teaching cardmaking at an elementary school. I have been hosting kids workshops for about 4 months to about 8 kids but today I will be teaching 6 classes at my son’s elementary school. His school is hosting a Pursue Passion Day where the kids sign up for different classes. I will be teaching a class to each grade from kindergarten to 5th grade. Wish me luck!!!
Here is a photo of some of the cards I created for this event. Each child will get to make 2 cards. some are interactive cards like pop ups or movement. Others help them learn techniques. I used a lot of cardstock, some retired cardstock and some retired patten papers.
I am excited to share my passion with our next generation in hopes that it may excite them! Wish me luck as I know it will be a loooong day!
Now it is your time to create something and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until December 31st to participate in this challenge. We love to see your inspirations!!
