National Scrapbooking Month

Happy National Scrapbooking Day and Month!! I’ll be it I am a bit late today in posting this since the day is almost over. But it is never late to celebrate memory keeping!! I don’t complete layout as often as I want but crafting is what calms and de-stresses me! I wanted to share a couple of layouts I completed recently.  I have been able to use some to the paper packs I have been saving for  a while.

This layout I designed using the Beary Christmas paper pack.  I am not pleased with the color exposure but I am happy how the layout turned out.

This lay out is using the Dream Big paper pack.  It is one of my favorites as is it great for boy colors!

I hope you are celebrating by getting a few layouts completed yourself.  I am getting caught up with the photos I have printed.  So soon I will need to work on photos and getting them printed so I an take the next step and get them scrapbooked.

Happy Crafting!

Zoe Workshop ~ Layout 1

Alright here is the last layout in the FABULOUS Zoe workshop?? Well here we go… Susan Williams is so talented and she used every inch of this paper pack.  Here is the first layout she designed.Susan Williams Zoe Layout 1I did switch one of the papers around and used the revers side.  I also changed my journaling to a white box rather than the individual lines as she has.  I have not done my title yet as I need to order one of the new alphabets coming out September 1st.

Hopscotch Workshop

I have a special workshop that I am offering to you.  It was designed by a very talented Close to My Heart consultant, Susan Williams.  She has outdone herself with this workshop!! You will complete FOUR two page layout and TWELVE cards!! Wow!  It uses flip flaps, twine, shimmer trim, Hopscotch complements and paper pack.

I have assembled the layouts and have photos below of how I put them together.  The only major change from her designs is how I plan to use the Flip Flaps.   She designed the three of the layouts to use flip-flap which she adheres directly to you layout.  I like to use page protectors so I usually adhere them on the page protector.  So in the following photos you will see my version of her layout and the flip flaps are just placed on the layout and not adhered yet (that is why you see that white strip behind the flip flaps).

Stampers with an Attitude Blog Hop ~ Fundamentals

Welcome to the Stampers with an Attitude Blog Hop!

If you are coming to me from SHEILA BENNETT then you are on the right track.   The Stampers with an Attitude are excited to show artwork with a Focus on Paper Fundamentals, so here we go.

This month we are showcasing the awesome new Fundamental paper pack.  This is a wonderful paper pack features 20 double sided 12″ x 12″ sheets (2 of each of the 10 designs) with one side being the glossy resist pattern; unfortunately it is sort of tucked away at the back of the idea book but it should be up in the front as it is such an awesome product.  This paper pack can add so much interest and dimension to all of your crafting as you will see with all the beautiful artwork being showcased in this hop.

Fundamental Papers

For this hop I am using the diagonal stripe which is in the Saddle color.  I thought it would be perfect for a layout I want to do for my son playing with his dump trucks.  He is obsessed with all trucks, cars, trains, planes… well any type of machinery for that matter.  Here is my layout….

Studio J – Digital Delights

Close to my Heart has extended the special for the $5 layouts in Studio J.  You can now take advantage of this special offer until  March15, 2013.  Feb-CC-ImageGallery.ashx

If you have not tried this I highly recommend you do.  It is so easy to complete some of your layout and it takes some much less time than if you were to scrapbook them the conventional way.  Now don’t get me wrong I still love to scrapbook from scratch with paper and will never give that up.  But if you are like me and most scrapbookers you are years behind.  I was able to finish 11 layouts in about 4 hours. If i was to have scrapbooked those same pages it would have taken my more than 24 hours. Pick a project or two and give it a try, you will be surprised at how nice they turn out and how much you can get done. I used the express collection for most of my layouts. Take a look at some of the layouts I created.
