Color Dare #399 ~ Monochromatic Shades of Yellow

Welcome to another week of Color Dare!  This week we have a good one for you.  This weeks challenge is Yellow!  You can use BLACK & WHITES and any Neutral, but that is all!!

I could not resist making more ladybug cards. So here you go..

I used a bit of the textured cardstock from the Blue Skies promotion last month with a bit of black glitter paper. I used the Ladybug Shaker Window thin cuts with the Hello Ladybug Stamp Set. I made the wings using the nail polish. If you want to see how to do this technique you can check out this video HERE. I added black stickles to the dots.

Here it is in red and what it look likes in the shaker.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~  Color Dare #399  or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Heart 2 Heart ~ In Stitches

Welcome to another weekly challenge with Heart 2 Heart!

This week our theme is In Stitches. This could be using stitches whether real or faux on your project. There is also our paper pack Stitched Together which you could use. We also have many thin cuts that have a stitched element which would also work. Just remember you must include at least one Close to My Heart product in your creation.

I have been working on a fancy fold card workshop and designed this gate fold card as part of that workshop. I used the Stitched Together Papers. I used Sweet Leaf, Candy Apple, Peach, Black and Daisy White cardstock. I used the Scallop Circle Thin cut which has a stitched circle. The ladybug and leaves are from the Stitched Together Cricut cuts.

Here is the inside of the card. I added a couple of butterflies from the Hello Ladybug stamp set.

Now it is your time to create something and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until June 30th to participate in this challenge. Make sure you include at least one Close to My Heart product. We love to see your inspirations!!

Color Dare #394 ~ Monochromatic Greens

Welcome to another week of Color Dare!  This week we have a good one for you.  This weeks challenge is Greens!  You can use BLACK & WHITES and any Neutral, but that is all!!

I decided to play with shaving cream and re-inkers (Evergreen, Clover anda Sweet Leaf) to create my lady bug wings.

So I have really been having fun with this thin cut and stamp set. I used the design in the idea book as my card layout. I used my black stickles to color the ladybug dots. I had to add googly eyes to my ladybugs. If you would like to see some more of my ladybugs you can check them out HERE.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~  Color Dare #394  or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, May 28, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Sneak Peek ~ Ladybugs

I am so excited for some of the new products that Close to My Heart is releasing in two days!!! I decided that I would go ahead and share….

These are actually two different cards as you can tell by the wings. I created the wings by using nail polish. I will show you this technique in below. In the card on the left I used Stazon black ink to stamp the dots. The card on the right I used black stickles to color the dots. I created the background by sponging the background with a cloud stencil I created and Carolina ink.

This card was based off the design in the new Idea Book You can see the cool pattern of the red and black nail polish. The black patten paper is from my stash.

Here it is open. I also felt these lady bugs needed eyes so pulled some googlie eyes from my stash.

Now here is the video that I made showing how to make the cool patten papers and also how to assemble these shakers.
