Color Dare #353 ~ Purples

Welcome to another week of Color Dare!  This week we have a good one for you.  This weeks challenge is PURPLES!  You can use up to two neutrals and BLACK & WHITES are free.

I LOVE PURPLE!!! It is my favorite color so I was excited to design something for this challenge.

I used the True Love Paper Pack for the background as it features Eggplant and the purple striped is perfect.  I used Lilac cardstock to cut the lace with the Lace Border Thin Cuts. The ribbon is retired but I still love it and have been saving for for that perfect project.  I used the Fancy Tags on White Daisy cardstock. The stamp set used is one of my all time favorites, Know I Care, unfortunately it is now retired.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~ Color Dare #353 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Highlight the Details – CTMH Technique Blog Hop

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!

This month we are Highlighting the Details.  This could be focusing on a part of a stamped image, using a variety of different mediums such as water color, markers, ink, etc.  There are around 12 of us focusing on Highlighting the Details.  This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork. If you are coming from MELISSA ROBINSON’S Blog, you are on the right track!

I decided to pull out one of my favorite stamps from this Idea Book, Know that I Care.

I used the Feels Like Home paper pack, Espresso Pigment Ink Pad, Stitched Square Thin Cuts and the Quilted Thin Cuts. I started by stamping the flowers from the Know that I Care stamp set using the Espresso Pigment Ink Pad.

I then used the small stitched square from the Quilted Thin Cuts.  I cut out four squares so that they lined up (I did mess up a bit when lining up the flowers on one of the squares). I then chose to color one flower using Sage and Sugarplum.  I did add a bit of the Sugarplum Shimmer Brush to all the areas I colored Sugarplum.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto DARLYS RECKER’S BLOG where you will find some additional artwork Highlighting the Details!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought and happy hopping!

I LOVE this stamp set!!! It has so many great sentiments and can be used for some many projects!

I choose to use the new paper pack FEELS LIKE HOME paired with coordinating Sapphire, Fern, Sugarplum and Mink cardstock. I also wanted to use one of the new stamps sets, KNOW I CARE. I adore this flower cluster. I added some SILVER EMBELLISHING TWINE at the top.  I used the the MAKE IT FROM YOUR HEART Volume 4 to create this card using pattern 6.

I added a little shimmer by using my SUGARPLUM GLITTER BRUSH to highlight the the sugarplum stamped inside of the flowers.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of January and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!
