I love Halloween and always have lots of photos from the holiday. I pulled out the Make it from Your Heart Volume 3 and picked pattern 10. I designed this layout for my son’s virtual Halloween party. I still need to print the photos.

I used Nectarine for the background and used the Boo Crew Paper and Stickers. I also incorporated the Boo Crew Stamp and Thin Cuts and Boo Crew Sequins.

I used a bit of Black Pearl Liquid Pearls to the witch hat, top hat on the ghost and to make a few dots.

I used a stencil that I created last year for a project. I used the Black Soot Oxide Ink to make the web. I stamped the spider with Black Pigment Ink then used Clear Embossing Powered.

Heart 2 Heart ~ Teeny Tiny

Welcome to another weekly challenge with Heart 2 Heart!

This weeks theme is Teeny Tiny. This could be what every you interpret it to be. To me I think of small elements and gnomes. Please join us this week! Just remember that whatever you create be sure to include and clearly indicate that you used at least one Close to My Heart product.

I am loving the cute Gnome stamp sets that Close to My Heart has come out with. and the Spooky Gnomes is no exception. I decided to create my own stencil with and Artbooking Cricut collection to cut the Spider web. I then used Seedless Preserves and Chipped Sapphire Oxide inks to create the background. I then spritzed with water then splattered Black Shimmer Brush all over. I colored the gnome and broom with my Triblend markers. I also used the cool new Black Ore papers for the Boo and to mat the spider web.

Now it is your time to create something and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until September 30th to participate in this challenge. Make sure you include at least one Close to My Heart product. We love to see your inspirations!!

Technique Hop – “Peek-a-boo!”

Welcome to the Technique Blog Hop!

This month we are exploring techniques that use with windows or hidden objects. If you are coming from MELISSA ROBINSON’s Blog, you are on the right track! If you get lost you can find a full list of participants HERE we have about 10 makers participating in this hop.

I love shakers so of course I would choose to make a shaker window card for my peek-a-boo.

So I recently decided to make a slimline card and now I am sort of hooked. This card I used the new Square Foam Shaker windows with the Stitched Square Thin Cuts. I used the smallest square and made three mini shakers.

Spider Shaker window
Pumpkin Shaker Window
Ghost Shaker Window

The paper used is the Got Candy? papers. The sentiment and bat came from the Spooky Gnome stamp set.

Here is the inside. I used both the Got Candy? Stamp set and the Spooky Gnome stamp set.

I also couldn’t stop with just one shaker card …. Here is one more for you.

For this card I used the Star Shaker Window Thin Cuts with the Star Shaker Window Foam. I used Got Candy? papers with both of the cards. The sentiment is from the Got Candy? Stamp set. I used the Got Candy? Sequins.

If you know me then you know I am a huge halloween fan. So I love all things halloween. This Got Candy? collection is awesome and one of my favorited thus far. I used pattern 2 from the Make it from Your Heart Volume 3. I did change the dimensions a bit so I could accommodate the 3×4 photos instead of all 3×3 photos on the right.

I used the sticker sheet and the Got Candy? Stamp Set.

I stamped the web and then went over it with the Black Diamond Stickle Glue. Then added some Black Shimmer splatters and a few of the Got Candy? Sequins.

I even decided to even add a shaker to layout.

Halloween Layouts

Here are a couple of Halloween Layouts that I have completed. They are using two different retired Close to My Heart paper packs. I am really beginning to feel accomplished with these layouts into my scrapbooks.

I did use the Make it From your Heart Volume 3 books to design these layouts. This layout uses Jeepers Creepers paper pack.

Color Dare #365 ~ Halloween Mood Board

Welcome to another week of Color Dare!  We have another great Inspiration Photo – HALLOWEEN. Pick colors that you see in the photo and BLACK and WHITE are free but NO other neutrals!

I couldn’t resist making a few Halloween cards.

I designed these cards for my kids workshop that I held last weekend. I should have take a photo of their cards as is always in interesting!!

I played around with my White Gel pen in the doodling around the outside. I used White pigment ink to stamp on the black cardstock then used White Embossing Powder. I used the Spooktacular papers and Stamp set.

I used some washi tape that is actually still available called Hello Pumpkin Washi tape.

For all three of these cards I used Pattern 1 from the Make it from Your Heart Volume 4.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~  Color Dare #365  or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Technique Hop – “Back to the Basics!”

Welcome to the Technique Blog Hop!

This month we are focusing on going back to the basics.   There are so many basic stamp techniques that we often forget about such as rock & roll technique, random stamping, masking, and second generation just to name a few. This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork. If you are coming from DARLYS RECKER’S Blog, you are on the right track! If you get lost you can find a full list of participants HERE.

I thought I would showcase Random Stamping. This is a great way to make your own pattern papers. The trick is to think about stamping in a triangle when stamp the images.

I used the moon, stars and clouds from the  Fa-Boo-lous Halloween stamp set and thin cuts. I used the new Tri Blend Spectum Noir markers to color the witch and make her striped leggings.

I used some Black shimmer trim behind the Lagoon stamped sentiment. I also used the Black Shimmer Brush to fill in the larger star. I also used Diamond Stickles to fill in the moons.

On the inside of the card I used the masking technique. To do this technique you use a Post-it note or tape to cover a portion of the stamped image. Then ink the stamp, remove the tape or Post-it and stamp on paper.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto MAZ WOOD’S BLOG where you will find some additional artwork!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought and happy hopping!

Halloween Card

I have a fun card I created using the new Fa-Boo-Lous Halloween Stamp & Thin Cuts.

I started by using our Stencil Sheets to cut a circle. Next I sponged the blues and purples on the background leaving the center for the moon. Then I reversed and covered the blues and purple and sponged the moon. I then added a few of the clouds which I hand cut. I stamped the sentiment in Black Pigment and then used Clear Embossing Powder.

I then sponged a second circle like the moon and cut it using the Shaker Window Thin Cuts. I then used the Loose Gold Sequins.

Technique Hop – “It’s in the Script!”

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!

This month we are focusing on It’s in the Script.   With the release of our the idea book came a brand new product line ~ Melissa Eplsin penmanship guide and her own stamp sets!!  I have always wanted to learn how to do cool penmanship as like most people, I am super critical of my own. While I have great intentions to practice with this guide, I have now made the time that I have wanted. Now that my son is back in school I should be able to find the time. This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork. If you are coming from DARLYS RECKER’S Blog, you are on the right track! If you get lost you can find a full list of participants HERE.

I made a card about a month ago using the cool chevron technique that Close to My Heart shared. You can find my original card HERE along with the link to what Close to My Heart shared. I had a lot of the zig-zags left over so I cut a few new colors with Goldrush, Green Apple and Lemonade to make it more Halloween inspired. I then used the Months by Melissa Esplin stamp set to stamp October. I used Black Pigment Ink and then used Clear Embossing powder. The hat is from Fa-Boo-lous Halloween stamp set and thin cuts. I added a bit of bling with Silver Stickles on the buckle of the hat and a few loose Silver Sequins.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto LAUREN MOORE’S BLOG where you will find some additional artwork!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought and happy hopping!
