Heart 2 Heart ~ Multi-dimensional Magic

Welcome to another weekly challenge with Heart 2 Heart!

This week we are challenging you to make your project 3D. This could be popping something up on your project with foam tape, maybe making a shaker, or whatever you can think of. Whatever you create be sure to include and clearly indicate that you used at least one Close to My Heart product.

I have created two shaker cards for you using the Got Candy? papers.

For this card I used the Got Candy? papers and paired it with the Spooky Gnome Stamp & Thin Cuts.

I was inspired by a card that Elise Sosa made using this Star Shaker as a gate fold card. So here is my version. I used the Got Candy? papers on French Vanilla cardstock. I used the new Star Shaker Window Foam with the Star Shaker Window Thin Cuts.

I cut two of the base stars that line up under the shaker. I used a journaling pen to draw a line around the star. The sentiment if from the Spooky Gnome stamp set.

For the inside I added a portion of the zip strip from the Got Candy? papers. I used the Got Candy? Stamp set on the inside with the web.

Now it is your time to create something and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until September 30th to participate in this challenge. Make sure you include at least one Close to My Heart product. We love to see your inspirations!!

September Stamp of the Month ~ Just Treats

Welcome to the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!! This month we are featuring SEPTEMBER’s stamp of the month ~ JUST TREATS (S1809) a set of 22.If you are coming here from MICHELLE STEWART’S Blog, then you are in the right spot ~ Welcome!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.  This month we have around 20 consultants participating this month so you are sure to be inspired.

This stamp set is wonderful as there are soooo many ways you could use it.  here are two that I came up with.

The first one I created was this one.

I used the new Boutique Paper Pack.  I loved the PML card from this pack as my pattern paper. I then used Peacock, Glacier and Sugarplum. I masked the Sentiment with Peacock and Sugarplum.

I also used the new Sugarplum Shimmer brush to add a bit of glimmer to the card.  It is hard to see but the dots and drops I added the shimmer.  I also added it to the the peppermints.

For this card I used the Hello Pumpkin paper pack. I love the Ghost from the Hello Pumpkin Scrapbooking Stamp Set but I really wanted the reverse image too.  So I googled how to do it and found this video.   I also used the Hello Pumpkin Washi Tape.

I wanted to add a bit of shimmer to this as well so I used the new Black Shimmer Brush for the eyes, drops, dots and the “no”. I also masked the sentiment with Black, Nectarine and Pansy.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of September and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!

I could not do this hop with our featuring Halloween since it is probably my most favorite holiday to celebrate.  So I designed a fun Halloween card for you today.

jeepers-creepers-halloween-card-silly-spider-web-catscrapbooking-comI have to admit using black as my card base is new territory for me but it so fit with Halloween.  I love this Silly Spider Web B1529 stamp set.  I just love the Jeepers Creepers paper pack. To make the black twine I simply took our white twine and used our black Shin Han Marker and colored it.  I used some black glitter paper, Shimmer Brush and my blending pen to add ink to my stamped spider web.

ABC’s Blog Hop ~ S

ABC's Blog HopWelcome to the Everything ABC’s Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter “S”.  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever the crafter has chosen as their “S” element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at LINDA’S BLOG ~ SCRAPPY THERAPY

If you just arrived from LINDA’S BLOG then you are on the right track.

I just have to say it is so nice to be back to crafting!  I had to miss the last hop for the letter “R” as we were mid move.  I am now unpacked and back in business.  So I guess you could say I got a little carried away with the “S” – Sunset, Spider web, Shimmer trim, Sequins, Stickles, Scardey Cat and Shin Han markers.  Seven “S” elements… I think that may be a record for me.

If the broom fits...catscrapbooking.com

I took advantage of CTMH’s white core with the cardstock by using a sanding block to expose it after running the Sunset through the Cuttlebug with the embossing folder.  I also used the Shin Han markers to color the silver sequins, I have to admit they do not color as nicely as the clear crystals.  Here is the full list of supplies used for this card:

  • Corner Rounder Z1912
  • Cardstock ~ Black, Sunset, and Colonial White
  • Paper Pack ~ Scardey Cat X7185B
  • Ink ~ Sunset and Black
  • Embellishments ~ Sequins Z2013,  Purple Shimmer Trim Z1919, Stickles
  • Embossing Folder ~ Spider Web
  • Shin Han Markers ~ Z2462 Peony Purple, Z2456 Mahogany, Z2452 Golden Yellow, Z2456 Marigold
  • Stamp Set ~ Halloween Greetings D1605
  • Art Philosophy

Now hop on over to LAUREN MOORE ~ CTMH Craftings and see what wonderful creation she has for you.

If you get lost along the way just hop back to  LINDA’S BLOG as she has the whole list of participants.

Happy Crafting!
