Heart 2 Heart ~ Party Time

Welcome to another Heart 2 Heart Challenge!

This weeks challenge is a fun one~ Party Time!!This could be any type of party ~ Birthday, Anniversary, Retirement, Christmas, you get the idea. I made up some Birthday Gift Card Holders to use through out the year. We love for you to join us but just remember you must use at least on Close to My Heart product in your project.

I was inspired by Erin Jacobson who made some amazing Christmas Gift Card Holders. I use the same design and made Birthday ones. I used the Party Time Paper Pack. I then used Flamingo and Lagoon cardstock with the Small Bow Thin Cut. I used the On Your Birthday stamp set with the Stitched Scalloped Bracket Thin Cut.

This is what it looks like open with the belly band removed.

Now it is your time to create something and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until December 31th to participate in this challenge. Make sure you include at least one Close to My Heart product. We love to see your inspirations!!

Color Dare #422 ~ Tic-Tac-Toe ~ Serenity

This week we have another Fun Color Dare Challenge for you.  This week for Color Dare #422 we have our popular Tic-Tac-Toe board this time it is focused around the Serenity paper collection.  For this challenge you can use any diagonal, row or column, you can add in any of the other colors shown.  Blacks, Whites, Golds, and Silver are FREE.

I went with the first column ~ Blue Belle, Toffee and Sapphire. I was inspired by a gift card holder that was created by Erin Jacobson.

I used Blue Belle and Sapphire cardstock along with Serenity paper collection. I used the Small Bow Thin Cuts to cut the beautiful bow.

The sentiment was stamped in White Pigment ink using the Comfort and Joy Stamp and Thin Cut. I used White Embossing Powder on the Toffee cardstock.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~  Color Dare #422  or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Merry Christmas!

I hope you are enjoying you holiday season!  I know this has been a busy holiday for me and I have not been able to get into my craft room as much as I want.  In fact it has been way less than I have hoped.  The new year is around the corner and I hope to make a few changes there.

I have one final gift card holder to share with you.

If you missed my last couple of post I have showcased a couple of gift card holders. This one is my favorite. It features the poinsettia from the new Flower Market Cartridge.  I paired it with Rustic Home paper pack.

Merry Christmas and Happy Crafting!

Everything ABC’s Blog Hop ~ Letter Z

Welcome to the Everything ABC’s Blog Hop!!!

ABC's Blog BadgeThis week we will be featuring the letter “Z”.  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever the crafter has chosen as their “Z” element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, welcome!  If you just hopped here from JODI BREWSTER’S BLOG then you are in the right place.   The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating consultants at the bottom of this post.

The letter “Z” is another one of those difficult letters.  Thankfully CTMH has these wonderful things called ZIPSTRIPS on the top of all of our pattern papers.  It just worked out beautifully as I needed to make gift card holders and the ZIPSTRIPS work as the band. Take a look….

With this gift card holder I used the Rustic Home Fundamental Papers and Cozy Christmas Thin Cut Bundle. I added some sparkle with the Red Shimmer trim as the band.

Santa Gift Card Holders

I decided to make my life a little easier this year with gift giving. All of family lives out of state so every year we need to ship gifts. My nieces and nephews for one of my brothers are getting to the age where finding the perfect gift is getting harder. So I decided they will have a gift card Christmas. Shipping will be a lot less. But of course I need to design something to put them in. I had seen some Santa belt style gift card holders on Pinterest. I decided to design my own.

Santa Gift Holder with tag ~ CatScrapbooking.comI used Artfully Sent envelope and to make the buckle I used Artbooking with a little welding with a basic shape. Here is the design space link to make the Gift Card holder. I grabbed a tag I had made prior which is using a retired Stamp of the Month Home for the Holiday S1410. I have to admit when I planned to make these I intended to use White Pines however I grabbed Ruby so I went with Yuletide.

Santa Gift Card Holder ~ CatScrapbooking.comI really love the way these turned out and it was so simple!!

Happy Crafting!

If you want to buy a bunch of Personalized Badge Holders to start crafting with, my friend did. She said she had a great time working with the materials to make them so lovely and Christmasy.

Coffee Cup Gift Holder

Have you seen the super cute coffee cup on page 5 of the new Artistry Cricut cartridge? I have seen a lot of great artwork using it on cards but I got to thinking wouldn’t it be great to make it into a sleeve with a gift card holder??? I saw a couple on Pinterest one designed by Krista Hershberger which helped me with the inspiration.  I decided to make it a pocket style card  so I went to Design Space to create this card.

Thank you Coffee gift card holder ~ Zoe ~ Artistry ~ Art Philosophy ~ CatScrapbooking.comHere is what it looks like when you pull up the white lid.Thank you Gift card holder inside ~ Zoe ~ Artistry ~ Artiste ~ Catscrapbooking.comThe pattern paper part of the cup is actually two parts, I added wings on to one side so they can be adjoined to make a sleeve. I use part of a sleeve to make the gift card insert.  Here is the LINK for the Design Space file, you will need both the Artistry and Artiste cartridge if you wish to use it.

Here is the full list of supplies used:

I made a bunch of these for a craft fair I will be participating in next month.  I think they will go over well particularly as Teacher Gift Cards.
