Color Dare #452 ~ Candy Apple, Glacier, & Lemonade

Welcome to Friday!! Friday means we have another Color Dare Challenge for you. This week for Color Dare #452 we have a three color challenge for you ~ Candy Apple, Glacier, and Lemonade. Black and White are Free along with Silver.

I have been busy with summer plans ~ mostly entertaining my son since he is out of school, so I have not found as much time to get into my craft room. I have had these new products from Honey Bee Stamps sitting in my craft room untouched… gasp!!! Well I was determined to use them for this project.

I love this Cone Flower die, but to be honest making the stem and leaves Glacier, and not a shade of green, is sort of hard for me. I am pleased the way it turned out. I used the Stitched Lattice Background Thin Cut for the base. I then created my own stem of the flower by fussy cutting. I used the Stitched Oval Thin Cut for the sentiment. The Sentiment if also from Honey Bee Stamps ~ Fresh Flowers. I added a couple of Silver Glitter Gems for bling.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~  Color Dare #452  or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page. You can also link up via Pinterest, Instagram, Flickr and  other forums. For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Happy Crafting!

Using Background Stamps

Have you seen the great background stamp sets that Close to My Heart offers?  There are two in the Spring/Summer 2013 Idea book – In the Background and Distressed Background Stamp Sets. These stamp sets are wonderful as you can customize the shape and size of the image you want to have stamped with the background stamp. Ever working on a layout or card and wish you had a coordinating pattern paper which would blend in perfectly?  Well Background stamps can solve that problem for you as you pick the cardstock and ink color.  I know some times you love a concept but just don’t know how to embark on it.  Well be sure to check out the video that shows you how.

Here is a card I created using the In the Background Stamp set.

Friends Card - July workshop

If you love background stamps then you will be excited to know there is another one in the Autumn/Winter 2013 Idea Book!!!!
