Heart 2 Heart ~ Tags

Welcome to another weekly challenge with Heart 2 Heart!

This weeks theme is Tags! Tags can be used in so many ways. We cannot wait to see what you come up with. Please remember you much use at least one Close to My Heart product.

I used the June Stamp of the month ~ Garden Tags and A Million Little Things stamp set. This months stamp of the month coordinates with the Tags and Tabs Thin Cuts. I had this idea to focus on the center of the tag by doing a cut away. So I created a mask to cover the outside of the stamp image.

I then stamped the top left tag three times then colored. I then cut four of the Daisy White cardstock with the stitched oval thin cut and layered them. I also used the Rectangle Stitched Thin Cut.

Here is how I cut the tag with the two dies. I used a bit of post-it tape to hold them together.

Now it is your time to create something and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until June 30th to participate in this challenge. Make sure you include at least one Close to My Heart product. We love to see your inspirations!!

Flowery Birthday Cards

Since we have been home more and looking on at social media a bit more. I discovered Honey Bee Stamps was releasing new product in honor of their 5th year anniversary. I fell in love with a couple of products and had to have. So they arrived on Friday and I started to play!

How cool is that flower background? I love this two layer stencil they have. I sponged on the flower petals and then over lay with the center stencil. I used Nuvo Glimmer paste for the centers. I pair it with the Happy Birthday Honey Cuts and Stamp. I used Close to My Heart thin cut flowers which have been retired and the Rectangle Thin Cuts. I used Thistle, Canary and the blue is Faded Jeans Distressed Oxide ink.

Here is a close up to show you that glitter paste and I paired it with Black Glitter paper. I added one of the bees for the Bee Hive stamp set.

This stamp set has such a wonderful bouquet of flowers that you will want to make as a focal point on your artwork. Here is what I came up with.

I wanted to create a card with the bouquet as the focus so I started with the one on the right. I decided to play with the new Holographic papers to stamp some of the flowers.

I fussy cut the bouquet and colored it with our Tri-blend markers. I stamped the flowers on the Dreamy Holographic papers and the Oasis Holographic papers. I used Stazon Ink and then fussy cut. I used the Seasonal Mix-in papers and a bit of Black shimmer trim. This cards pattern is number 9 from the Make it From Your Heart Volume 4.

For this card I stamped a portion of the bouquet around the edges ad then colored them. I used the brush stroke stamp from the Can’t Get Enough stamp set. I used Lagoon ink for the strokes and to mat behind the flowers.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of FEBRUARY and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!

Heart 2 Heart ~ An Attitude of Gratitude

Welcome to another weekly challenge with Heart 2 Heart!

I chose to use this stamp set for my project; however, you can create anything that reflects an attitude of gratitude to you. Just remember you must use at least one Close to My Heart product on your design.

I chose to use the Seasonal Mix-In papers for the card. I stamped the flowers in Glacier and second generation Smoothie. The leaves were stamped with Clover. I then used my VersaMark ink to stamp the veins on the flowers and used White Embossing Powder. I cut the vine like leaves after stamping in Evergreen ink. I added a couple of the Holly Jolly Dots.

Now it is your time to give it a try and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until November 30th to participate in this challenge. We love to see your inspirations!!

This is what the card looks like when it is open.

For the front I used one of the tags from the Fancy Tag Thin Cuts for the Thanks.  I used my journaling pen around the edges and used White Embossing Powder.  I used the Mink twine and my Sugarplum Shimmer brush.  I used fern ink to stamp the leaves and used first and second generation ink. I created another Joy Fold card for Heart 2 Heart challenge using this stamp set as well, you can find it HERE.

I used an overlay on top of Sweet Leaf cardstock. The lattice overlay is from Artbooking Cricut cartrige which you can find HERE. I then cut the rectangular edges to make it softer. I used Thistle cardstock behind the White Daisy stamped sentiment.

catscrapbooking ~ closet to my heart ~ ctmh ~ love blossoms ~ mother's day card This card is the almost the same as one in the workshop.  I made a couple of adjustments. First I changed the color cardstock to Raspberry.  I then colored the flowers instead of leaving them white.  I also modified the sentiment to be a Mother’s Day Card.

Color Dare #331 ~ Brown and White with a Splash of Color

Welcome to another week of Color Dare!  This week we are challenging you to use BROWN and WHITE with a splash of one other color.  NO OTHER COLORS are permitted.

I decided to use Kraft, White and Sugarplum.

I designed a gate fold card using Kraft as my base.  I used and embossing folder to add a bit of texture to the card base.  The flowers were created using the fringe Thin Cut from the Decorative Border set.  I used one strip of white with three strips of the sugarplum for the larger flowers and two for the smallest flower. I used one of the tags from the Fancy Tag Thin Cuts.

I used the Love Blossoms Stamp set for the sentiment and added a few Sugarplum Glitter Gems.

Color Dare #330 ~ Tic-Tac-Toe ~ I Heart Us

This week we have another Tic-Tac-Toe Color Dare Challenge for you.  This week for Color Dare #330 it will be using the CTMH color palette from I HEART US. Please use and identify the three colors in a row of your choice; however, we will allow any or all other colors from the Challenge Board to be included. You can check out the rules on our blog.

I decided to go diagonally with Pixie, Bluebird and Lagoon.  I added in Black and White as my neutrals.

For my card I decided to use the Sponging and Droplet technique with was recently shared on the Close to my Heart Blog. I also used the I Heart Us Cardmaking Stamp Set.

For the background I sponged Lagoon, Bluebird and Pixie onto a piece of White Cardstock.  I then spritzed it with the Spritz Cleaner and also placed larger droplets by unscrewing the top.

I used a bit of the Silver Embellishing Thread and the Silver Glitter Gems. I stamped the leaves with Lagoon ink on Lagoon paper and Versamark ink on Lagoon then used Clear Embossing Powder. The flowers are colored with Ink and Watercolor brushes.

The final touch was to use the Clear Shimmer Brush to ad a bit of sparkle to the flower.  I realize it is hard to see in the photos.  I also used the Stitched Square Thin Cuts.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~ Color Dare #330 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.
