Tall & Skinny Paw-ty Dogs

I saw where Double Trouble was having a challenge combining Tall and Skinny or Slimline cards with things with tails so I knew I wanted to play.
Thing 1: Trouble Maker
says, “I’m going to tell you a Tall Tale… but don’t let that scare you. Create a Tall and Skinny card for any occasion.”

You can stop here…
OR you can choose to include Twisted Sister’s Optional Twist below.

Thing 3: Twisted Sister
says, “I received word that we have to deliver a Tall Tail. How’s that possible? I don’t have a tail and neither do our Sneetches… Help! Create a project using a Thing with a Tail.”

This is an OPTIONAL TWIST but you will be awarded an additional chance in Double Trouble’s random draw if you include this twist in your project.

BUT don’t stop here… Thing 2: Double Dare:  says, “Since we do not have a scheduled partner for this challenge, you can still earn extra points for our random draw. Just use any of our previous partners with your Tall and Skinny card – with or without the twist.

I have been loving creating these slimline cards so I knew this would be fun!

I had this film strip cut a previous project so I decided to use it. I then paired it with the Let’s Paw-Ty stamp set. I colored in some fo the dogs using my Triblend Markers.

I am also going to pair this up with Crafter’s Cafe which has an anything goes Challenge. This is my first time joining them.

You will be hopping with the same talented consultants who bring you the Stamp of the Month blog hop. For this hop we are featuring artwork which showcases the BEST FRIENDS FUREVER promotion. I am sure you will find a wide variety of inspirations on this hop.

If you are just arriving here from MELINDA EVERITT’S Blog, or just starting at my blog then you are on the right track ~ Welcome!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.   For this hop we have about 10 consultants participating and you are going to see some fabulous artwork.

I love this paper pack and can’t wait to create some layouts as well. Unfortunately I was not able to do so before this hop but plan to do so soon. I decided to show you how you can make some really cute cards with this collection.

I saw the cute three cats and knew this was the image I wanted to start using. I used pattern number 5 from Make It From Your Heart Volume 4. I decided to mix in Wisteria in with the pinks. I stamped the paw prints with pewter ink around the border. I colored the kitties with my Tri-blend markers. I also used my markers to color the Acrylic Hearts.

I then decided to make one with the puppies. It was a bit trickier as I had to make the collection of the three dogs. I accomplished this by using masking. I did use black pigment ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I also added a couple black dots from the Black & White dots.

Your next stop is along this hop is ALYSON MAYO’S Blog, so hop on over and see what wonderful creation she has for you today.
