Christmas Gift Tags Part 2

Are you ready to see a few more gift tags??  Here are a couple more that I designed for the Craft Fair.

Merry Christmas Gift Tag ~ Holly ~ Art Philosophy ~ CatScrapbooking.comThis tag is from Art Philosophy.  I backed the leaves with green glitter paper and the holly with red shimmer trim.  I then created a back by cutting a tag an hiding the contour lines.Snowflake Gift Tag ~ Holiday gift tags ~ Art Philosophy ~ CatScrapbooking.comThis one is also from the Art Philosophy cartridge.  I backed it with the new white glitter paper and then created a back to the tag by hiding the contour lines and cutting the tag again.Twinkle Gift Tag ~ October SOTM ~ CatScrapbooking.comThis one is using this months stamp of the month ~ Twinke.  I got the idea to stamp the light bulbs so they looked like they were glowing from the talented Wendy Coffman.  She inked them then stamped off once then rolled the edges in the ink again before stamping on the tag.  I so love this look!Merry Chrstmas Gift Tag ~ White Pines Card Workshop ~ CatScrapbooking.comFor this tag the base is cut from Artiste and then stamped with White Pines Card Workshop stamp set and the gifts are from the Miracle of Christmas D1656.Warmest Wishes ~ Lawn fawn Joy in the Woods ~ CatScrapbooking.comThis one is using a stamp set called Joy in the Woods by Lawn Fawn. I have the thin dies to cut the fox, tree and ornament.  I used the new watercolor paints to color the stamped images.

Everything ABC’s Blog Hop ~ V

Welcome to the Everything ABC Blog Hop!

ABC's Blog HopFor this hop we will be featuring the letter “V”.  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever the crafter has chosen as their “V” element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, welcome!  If you just hopped here from DIANA SANDERS’ Blog then you are in the right place.   The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Linda’s blog HERE.

Since the letter “V” is as challenging a “U” before it when it come to crafting.  I decided to look at my Cricut Cartidges again.  Well I was VERY VICTORIOUS as I was working on a project with the Nevermore paper pack and I was needing some Halloween cuts.  Guess what is on page 71 of the Artbooking booklet??? The letter “V” and the five perfect cuts.  I purchased these BOO letters last year but never got around to completing them, so I was determined to do it this year.

Nevermore ~ Boo Letters ~ ABC's V ~ Artbooking ~

Her is how it turned out.  All of the cuts are from Close to My Heart Cricut cartridges, except the tree and ghosts, these are from my Silhouette .  The ravens and spider are found on page 70 of Artbooking.  The moon, bats, fence, house and Beware also come from Artbooking on page 71.  The spider web and tombstone are from Artiste page 76.

Here is a close up of each letter.Nevermore ~ Artbooking ~ Boo Letters B ~ ABC's V ~ CatScrapbooking.comNevermore ~ Artbooking ~ Boo Letters O ~ ABC's V ~ CatScrapbooking.comNevermore ~ Artbooking ~ Boo Letters O2 ~ ABC's V ~

Nevermore Gift Card Set

I will be participating in my first Craft Fair next month so I have been busy working on items to sell.  I was looking through my pins on Pinterest and found two things which inspired me.  I found a card designed by Aaron Barron which combined Nevermore with the Paper Garden stamp set you can see it here.  I also found a Book Box which looked intriguing so I decided to give it a try.  Here is what I designed.

Nevermore Gift Card Box ~ Paper Garden ~ CatScrapbooking.comThis is the cover and what the cards look like I used Eggplant as the base cardstock.  On the cover I used four flowers where the cards only have two.  I used a retired embellishment for the center of the flower. Nevermore Gift Card Box ~ Paper Garden ~

When you open the cover, which I secured with hook and loops there is a pocket which holds four 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″ cards and envelopes.  Nevermore Gift Card Set open ~ Paper Garden ~ CatScrapbooking.comHere is another view.  I really love the way this card and box turned out.  I actually designed a second one using a different stamp and paper, I will post it in a couple of days.

I thought I would share with you how to create this Book Style Card Box.  You will need two pieces ~ a 8 1/2″ x 11″ and a 3 ” x 8 1/2″ piece of cardstock.  Starting with the 8 1/2″ X 11″ piece of cardstock.Book Style Gift Box how-to #1 ~ CatScrapbooking.comThenBook Style Gift Box how-to #2 ~ CatScrapbooking.comNow with the 3′ X 8 1/2″  score as follows.Book Style Card Box how-to #3 ~ CatScrapbooking.comThen trim away these sections:Book Style Gift Card Box how-to #4 ~ CatScrapbooking.comBook Style Card Gift Box how-to #5 ~ CatScrapbooking.comAdd adhesive to secure the two pieces to make the box I used Scor Tape.Book Style Gift Card Box how-to #6 ~ CatScrapbooking.comThese are super easy to create and I believe will make great gifts and I hope sell well at the craft fair.

Coffee Cup Gift Holder

Have you seen the super cute coffee cup on page 5 of the new Artistry Cricut cartridge? I have seen a lot of great artwork using it on cards but I got to thinking wouldn’t it be great to make it into a sleeve with a gift card holder??? I saw a couple on Pinterest one designed by Krista Hershberger which helped me with the inspiration.  I decided to make it a pocket style card  so I went to Design Space to create this card.

Thank you Coffee gift card holder ~ Zoe ~ Artistry ~ Art Philosophy ~ CatScrapbooking.comHere is what it looks like when you pull up the white lid.Thank you Gift card holder inside ~ Zoe ~ Artistry ~ Artiste ~ Catscrapbooking.comThe pattern paper part of the cup is actually two parts, I added wings on to one side so they can be adjoined to make a sleeve. I use part of a sleeve to make the gift card insert.  Here is the LINK for the Design Space file, you will need both the Artistry and Artiste cartridge if you wish to use it.

Here is the full list of supplies used:

I made a bunch of these for a craft fair I will be participating in next month.  I think they will go over well particularly as Teacher Gift Cards.

I have been wanting to make one of those fabulous wreaths made out of rolled flowers.  When I saw the colors in the Sangria paper pack X7199B.  I knew it was the right one.  So I rolled like 90 flowers to create this wreath.Sangria ~ flower wreath ~ catscrapbooking.comThe wreath is 13″ foam which I wrapped in burlap so if any spots showed through it would be burlap and not white. I decided since these were fall colors I would add a few leaves.

Sangria ~ Flower Wreath detail 2 ~

Sangria ~ Flower Wreath detail 3 ~ catscrapbooking.comI actually used three different flowers in three different sizes.  For those of you with a Cricut Explore I used #m44903, #m47643 and #m435f5 all of which are from the Art Philosophy cartridge.  I sized them at 4″, 4.4″ and 4.8″.  For the leaves I used #m473AB from Artbooking (2.8″ high and 2.4″ high), #m58a300 (3.2″ high and 2.4″ high) & #m411c98 (2.19″ high and 2.59″ high) are from Artistry and #m42812 (2.76″ high & 2.2″ high) from Artiste.   I used pearl straight pins to secure the flowers to and leaves to the wreath.

Here is the list of papers used:

  • Sangria paper pack X7199B
