I decided to play with the Sawyer paper collection. I thought the colors would be perfect for the photos from Convention 2015. I used the Make it From Your Heart Volume 3 pattern 18 for this layout.

Here is the left page without the photos. I used Glacier for the photo mats. I cut the hearts with my Cricut with Daisy White and Wisteria. I splattered Grape Shimmer Brush on the white heart The stamp is the Convention Stamp Set from 2015. I pulled some purple dots from my stash and paired them with the Wood Hearts which I colored with the Grape Shimmer.

Here it is with the photos but I realized I forgot to print one so it is missing.

I used the Tabs Thin Cuts for the tabs on both pages.

Technique Hop – “Accents of White”

Welcome to the Technique Hop!

This month we are focusing on accents of white on our projects! So it is up to the Maker to pick the products and how they wish to showcase. If you are coming from KIM LOEWEN’s Blog, you are on the right track! If you get lost you can find a full list of participants HERE we have about 8 makers participating in this hop.

For my card I decided to create my own background using White Embossing Powder, Oxide Inks, Clear Shimmer Brush and White Gloss Spray. I used the If Snowflakes Were Kisses Stamp and Thin Cuts along with the Floral Snowflakes Stamp and Thin Cuts.

The first step was to stamp a few of the snowflakes onto Daisy White cardstock using VersaMark ink. I then used the White Embossing Powder. I then sponged on Mermaid Lagoon and Chipped Sapphire Distressed Oxide Ink.

I spritzed the cardstock with water, then splattered the Clear Shimmer Brush and sprayed a bit of the White Gloss Spray. This photo it taken before I took my shammy and wiped the ink off the embossed snowflakes. So in the final card you notice how white the snowflakes look.

I cut the tag for the sentiment with the Buildable Tag Thin Cuts. I used the VersaMark ink and White Embossing Powder for the sentiment. I then used my White Gel Pen to make the stitching around the edge and the white accent on the nose of the polar bear. I colored the polar bear with my Tri-blend Markers and popped him up with a bit of foam tape.

Heart 2 Heart ~ Oh Deer

Welcome to our first challenge of November at Heart 2 Heart!

For this challenge I decided to focus on the word deer and use a deer in my artwork. You are welcome to play along with us and interpret this challenge the way you wish. To play a long simply link your artwork to our challenge which can be found HERE. Please remember this when you are designing you project.

I decided to make a couple of Christmas tags using the Holly & Ivy Digital Art Collection from Close to My Heart. Did you know you can purchase these SVG files and use them on any of your cutting devices? Here are the images in that collection.

Here is a closer look at each of the tags.

For this tag I used the Holly and Ivy Papers for the tag base. I used Candy Apple, Evergreen and Kraft cardstock. The Merry Christmas is from the For All Occasions stamp set. I did add one of the Candy Apple Gems to the center of the flower. The ribbon is from my stash.

This tag was done exactly the same but this time I used Scarlet Glitter paper to cut the flower.

I used a different patten paper from the Holly and Ivy Papers for the tag base. I then cut four of the deer shape to give more dimension to the deer. I used Candy Apple Pigment ink ad then heat embossed with Clear Embossing powder. I have to admit that did not work as well as I hoped. The sentiment comes for the Craft with Heart Card Subscription.

Now it is your time to create something and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. Did you know you can link your projects from Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Flickr, and many other platforms using the url link to your design. You have until NOVEMBER 30th, 2021 to participate in this challenge. Make sure you include at least one Close to My Heart product. We love to see your inspirations!!

Heart 2 Heart ~ Sweet Treats

Welcome to another Heart 2 Heart Challenge!

Our second challenge for the month is sweet treats. This can be interpreted the way you see fit, some of the things that come to mind for me is candy, cookies, and Halloween. So I decided to go the way of Halloween since you go trick or treating and get candy.

Please remember this when you are designing you project.

Here is the card I designed.

I created my background with Seedless Preserves and Chipped Sapphire Oxide Inks. I then uses Clear, Black, Grape, and Sapphire Shimmer brushes to splatter the background. I cut the oxide inked background with the Stitched Rectangle Thin cuts. I then matted it on Black Ore paper. I used the Halloween Buddies – Joey stamp and thin cuts. I stamped the sentiment with White Pigment ink and then used White Embossing Powder on it. I used my Tri-Blend markers to color and added a bit of Silver Stickles for the buttons.

I have also submitted this card with Double Trouble Challenge #95 ~ Thing 1 says to make a cute Halloween card and I think this fits!

Technique Hop – “Stamping on Cardstock”

Welcome to the Stamping on Cardstock Blog Hop!

This month we are highlighting stamping on cardstock! So it is up to the Maker to pick the products and how they wish to showcase. If you are coming from MELISSA ROBINSON’s Blog, you are on the right track! If you get lost you can find a full list of participants HERE we have about 9 makers participating in this hop.

Here are the cards I created. I will go into detail about each one.

For this card I used Toffee Cardstock to stamp the Fox from the Wildflower Friendship stamp set. I used Espresso pigment ink and then heat embossed Clear embossing powder. I used my watercolor paints to color the image. I really like how our watercolor paints pop on darker cardstock. I used the Mix-in Paper Pack for the base. I then added a few of the Loose Autumn Sequins.

This card was done the same way at the one above but I used the revers of the mix-in paper for background and I stamped on Kraft paper. You can see there is a subtle difference in how the paints show up.

With this card I stamped tone on tone. I used New England Ivy, Paprika, Papaya and Sundance cardstock and inks. I used a different patten paper from the Mix-in Paper Pack. I used the a World with October stamp and thin cuts. I used my Watercolor pencils to do a bit of shading on the pumpkins. I then added a few of those Loose Autumn Sequins.

I decided to play around with some of the new colors and our awesome new stencils.

How much fun is this new color Capri?? I started by using the Card Front Stencil 2 for my main paper and used Mermaid Lagoon Oxide ink. I then used the Stitched Rectangle Thin Cut and matted the paper on Capri Cardstock. The Daisy White circle was cut using the Circle Thin Cuts and the Capri circle was cut using the now retired stitched circle thin cuts. On the Daisy White circle I used two stamp sets ~ Embroidered Circles Stamp Set & For All Occasions. I used a bit of Capri Glitter Paper.

Okay I am not a pink person but this Wild berry color is awesome! I did pretty much the same as the card above but added the Wild Berry Ribbon and Wild Berry Sequins.

For this card I wanted to show off the great flower sequins that are in the Wild Berry Sequins. Yes, I did pick them out. I created my Shaker Flowers by using a Cricut cut from the Serenity Collection from CTMH which I modified. I added some foam tape behind the flower to make a shaker. The leaves are from the a thin cut set that has been retired. I sponged the Mermaid Lagoon Oxide ink onto Daisy White cardstock using the Stencil Pack 1. I then used the Stitched Rectangle Thin Cut for the black frame. The sentiment is from For all Occasions stamp set.

Welcome to Friday with another Color Dare Challenge. This week for Color Dare #459 we are challenging you to use just three colors ~ French Vanilla, Black and Gold!

I then used versamark to stamp anniversary and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I used the Doodled Florals Stamp and thin cuts. I cut the gold foil paper for the leaves and then used Stazon Black Ink. I used the versamark ink and gold embossing powder on the French Vanilla paper.
