Color Dare #413 ~ Bloom with Grace Tic-Tac-Toe

This week we have another Fun Color Dare Challenge for you.  This week for Color Dare #413 we have our popular Tic-Tac-Toe board this time it is focused around the Bloom with Grace paper collection.  For this challenge you can use any diagonal, row or column, you can add in any of the other colors shown.  Blacks & Whites are FREE.

I used the middle row and column and added Fern and Toffee.

I am becoming a bit addicted to making slimline cards. Here is one I crated using the pretty sunflower paper from the Bloom with Grace papers. The fern patten paper is also from this collection. I used the new Bloom with Grace Cricut collection to cut the sunflowers. I then added a couple of the wood Bloom with Grace shapes which I colored by using the Toffee Shimmer Brush. The thankful sentiment is from the Woodland Friends Stamp and Thin Cuts. I added a couple of Gold Glitter Gems for a bit of bling.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~  Color Dare #413  or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, October 7, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

September SOTM Blog Hop – Here for the Memories

Welcome to the SOTM Blog Hop!

If you are coming here from MELISSA ROBINSON’S Blog, then you are in the right spot ~ Welcome!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.  This month we have around 20 consultants participating this month so you are sure to be inspired.

I had this idea to focus on the sentiment “let the good times roll”. I used one of the Happiest Place digital files and cut with my Cricut. I thought the rollercoaster would be fun paired with the sentiment.

I used my Distressed Oxide inks which are one of the many new products we are carrying. I used Cracked Sapphire and Pumice to create these cards.

With this card I sponged the background using dauber. I then spritz the cardstock with water. I used Candy Apple Pigment Ink to stamp the sentiment. I then used clear embossing powder.

To create this background, I smooshed the ink pads on my All Purpose Mat, then spritzed the ink on the mat. I then squished the cardstock into the spritzed ink. I used my heating tool to dry before dabbing it back thru the inks on the mat and heated. I repeated this process until I liked the mount of ink. I framed the card using the frame from the Stitched Rectangle Thin Cuts. Lastly I added a couple of Blue Belle Sequins. Blue Belle is our color of the year!

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of SEPTEMBER and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!

Your next stop is along this hop is WENDY KESSLER’S Blog, so hop on over and see what wonderful creation she has for you today.

I went with the right column ~ Toffee, Glacier and Espresso with White and Gold.

I used a couple of the pattern papers from the Timber Paper Pack. I then created the plaid with Glacier and Toffee with the Timber Scrapbooking Stamp Set. The sentiment was stamped in White Pigment ink using the Say It In Style stamp set. I used my Toffee Shimmer brush to splatter on the white circle and Toffee cardstock. Technique Blog Hop ~ Use Your Scraps

Welcome to the Technique Blog Hop!!

Do you save your scraps of paper? Most crafters have a hard time letting even the smallest of pieces of paper go. This month we are exploring techniques that use those scraps. If you are coming from KATY TAYLOR’s Blog, you are on the right track! If you get lost you can find a full list of participants HERE we have about 10 participating in this hop.

I came up with three projects.

For this card I used the Multi Circle Thin Cut on the Timber Woodgrain paper. I then used scraps of Timber Papers to fill in some of the circles. I used the adorable Little Buddies stamp set. I colored the animals with my markers.

For this tag I used the circles which I can’t throw away. These are the revers of the woodgrain paper. I glued five of them together to make an ornament. The greens were cut with my Cricut using the Season of Joy collection. I added a bit of stickles glue above the ornament.

This Celebrate card also used scraps from the Timber Papers. I used the Birthday Greetings stamp set for the sentiment. I added a bit of Black Velvet Ribbon. The fly is a Cricut cut using the Timber Collection.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto MISS CARRIE’S CREATIONS where you will find some additional artwork!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought and happy hopping!

Thing 1: Trouble Maker says, “You make me happy when skies are grey, so let’s make someone happy with a Friendship project (i.e. Get Well, Thinking of You, Thank You, etc.). NO Birthday, Holiday or Celebration projects.

I pulled a linen pattern paper from a prior Seasonal Mix In paper pack. I paired it with Pewter, Bluebird, Canary, and silver. I used the Flower from the Happiest Place Digital Art Designs. Blues are one of my favorites so this makes it hard when you want to design the perfect thing. Here is what I came up with.

I used the butterfly image from the Stitched Cricut Collection. I merged two of the butterflies to make a card base.

Heart 2 Heart ~ National Scrapbooking Month

Welcome to another weekly challenge with Heart 2 Heart!

This week we are celebrating National Scrapbooking Month with this challenge. You may want to use some of the Blue Skies products Close to My Heart released to celebrate or you may just want to complete a scrapbook layout. Just remember you must use at least one Close to My Heart product in you project.

I decided to use the EveryDay Memories Cricut collection I have a confession, I have never used on of the layouts from these collections. I decided to play with the colors to match my photos better. I have to say it was fun to create and I am pleased with the results. I did encounter one issue in that I had 4×6 photos and not 5×7 as the layout was design to hold. I solved this by matting the photos.

I added a few of the Seas the Day gems and some silver embellishing thread.

I really like the pocket for the journaling.

I also decided to share a card I created from the Blue Skies papers and coordinating cardstock. I used the Sentiments by Melissa Esplin stamp for the Hello. The flowers are also part of the Blue Skies Collection with the Beautiful Day Stamp and thin cuts.

Now it is your time to create something and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until May 31st to participate in this challenge. Make sure you include at least one Close to My Heart product. We love to see your inspirations!!

I used the Everyday Memories Cricut cuts. I stretched the cuts to change it from a 4.25″ to 5.5″. I used the white ribbon along the top and added one of the Acrylic Hearts.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of MAY and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!
