Heart 2 Heart ~ Pumpkin Spice

Welcome to another weekly challenge with Heart 2 Heart!

I do like pumpkin spice but I love all the things associated with it like going to the pumpkin patch. So I decided to make a layout from one of our adventures to Anderson Farms which is a pumpkin patch here in Colorado.

I used the Hawthorn paper pack for this layout. I used the pattern 21 from the Make it from your Heart Volume 3. I did make one slight change to the pattern since I have a few more photos in mind for my layout.

Here it the left side.

Here is a close up of the title. I used an image that is part of my Cricut Access fro the words but used the pumpkin shape from Artisty. I cut the base of the pumpkin in Toffee but it was not enough contrast to the wheat so I used my Charcoal Shimmer brush and it worked great! The wheat is from Flower Market.

Here is where I made the switch. I move the journalling space to a PML card and added an additional 4×6 photo under the pumpkins. The pumpkins are from the new Complete Creativity.

The sequins are the Loose Rose Gold which are still available.

Now it is your time to give it a try and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until October 31st to participate in this challenge. We love to see your inspirations!!

If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.   For this hop we have about 20 consultants participating and you are going to see some fabulous artwork.

I tried to think of new ways to use this special. Here is what I came up with…

For my fall card I to cut down the squares to make it look like a shaker. I used the leaves from the Give Thanks stamp set. I used the binder clip cut to stamp the sentiment. The letters and binder clip stamp are from the Give Thanks stamp set. I stamped the letters using Versamark and then used Copper Embossing powder. I used Paprika and Hawthorn for the base. I added a bit of the Sangria Ribbon. The outdoor sky effect was accomplished by sponging Carolina and Pebble inks onto Daisy White.

I wanted to create another window type scene and use our new Create with Creativity Cricut Collection. I used the folded trees and the tis the season cuts. I copied an idea from Miss. Carrie’s Creations, she used the cut as a stencil. I did the same and sponged Bluebird and Carolina inks on Daisy White Cardstock. I then used the Stitched Rectangle Thin cut to cut out the sponged image. I added a bit of gold with the Stickles on the stars and in the circles on the trees. I also added a bit of Gold Embellishing Thread to the clip.

Technique Hop – Sparkle & Shine!

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!

This month we are focusing on SPARKLE & SHINE.   There are so many Close to My Heart products that would fall into this catagory ~ Glitter Paper, Shimmer Brushes, Shimmer Trim, Sequins, Glitter Gems…. You get the idea.  This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork. If you are coming from KATY TAYLOR’S Blog, you are on the right track!

I decided to focus on our Glitter Paper!  I also decided to have a bit of fun with the word Sparkle. Here is what I created.

This is a super fun card and was actually quite easy to make.  In fact I made a video to show you how. The Sparkle was cut on my cricut and the rest of the sentiment was written using my cricut.  I used Sugarplum Glitter Paper and Daisy White Cardstock.  The sequins are from the Silver and Crafty sets.  Yes, I am one of those who likes to sort out particular sequins for my projects.

Here is my video to walk you through how to create this card in Cricut Design Space.  Please know this is my first video of this type so I know it is a little rough but hopefully it helps you and maybe you learn a tip or two.

Here is a close up of that Sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto TERRY METZGER’S BLOG where you will find some additional artwork!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought and happy hopping!

If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.   For this hop we have about 13 consultants participating and you are going to see some fabulous artwork.

I used pattern 13 from the Make it From Your Heart Vol 3.  I love this paper pack as it is great for so many different types of layouts.  I chose to make it an Easter layout.

I used the Egg-Stra Special Stamp set for the bunny, the eggs and the cute chick.  I added the cheeks by using the cheeks from the Paper Pal Base.  The “Hunt” is a Cricut Cut that is part of my subscription.  I also used some of the Zoe stickers.  I did use a couple of the stamps from the Zoe Stamp Set.

On this side of the layout you can see the cute row of bunnies, these are from the Bunny Trail Stamp Set.  The Easter basket is also a Cricut cut that is part of my Cricut Subscription.

Here is the layout with the photos.

I ended up adding a bit more…

I added some sequins from my stash.  I then added the dashed lines for the butterfly trails using my journaling pen.

ABC’s Blog Hop ~ C

Welcome to the Everything ABC’s Blog hop!

ABC's Blog HopFor this hop we will be featuring the letter “C”.  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever the crafter has chosen as their “C” element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at LINDA’S BLOG ~ SCRAPPY THERAPY .  If you just came from Linda’s Blog then you are in the right place.

For my “C” I chose my Cricut and Disney’s Cars Cartridge.  I have been working on my son room since we moved.  He is all boy and loves all cars, trucks and trains.  So I have been working on one wall at a time but I have been cutting vinyl vehicles to decorate his room.  I still had one wall left to decorate.  I have cut all the previous vehicles with my Silhouette but since I got the Cricut Explore I decided to try cutting vinyl with it.  Well it worked like a gem and I got carried away.

It was really a lot of fun putting these together albeit a little tedious.  There were a lot of layers to some of the designs.  Here is a close up to two of the characters.
