Technique Blog Hop ~ Dazzling Dimension

Welcome to the Technique Blog Hop!

This month we are exploring techniques to add dimension to your projects. Dimension can be accomplished in may ways from layering papers to using foam tape. As you hop around you will see some fun ways to incorporate these dimension into your artwork. If you are coming from LAUREN MOORE’s Blog, you are on the right track! If you get lost you can find a full list of participants HERE we have about 12 makers participating in this hop.

To create this card I used one of the Cricut cuts from the Eat Play Love Cricut Collection. I used Fern and Avocado to cut the three layers of the leaves. I used Grape and Lilac for the four layers of the flowers. I used a layer of thin foam tape between each layer of the flowers and leaves.

I decided to add a bit of sparkle to the flowers for a bit more dimension. I also cut four stitched rectanglesa to add to the layers. You can see the layers in this photo.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto BRANDI ROBINSONS’s Blog where you will find some additional artwork!  Be sure to leave a comment and happy hopping!

Color Dare #354 ~ Mix it Up Tic-Tac-Toe

This week we have another Fun Color Dare Challenge for you.  This week for Color Dare #354 we have our popular Tic-Tac-Toe board this time we are Mixing it Up.  For this challenge you can use any diagonal, row or column, you can add in any of the other colors.  Blacks & Whites are FREE  and Silver OR Gold are FREE but NO other neutrals!

Have you seen the amazing video that Close to My Heart put out showing how to make this fun twist on the Chevron pattern?? You can find it here on Facebook!  Here is my take on the card.

You will want to give this technique a try!  The chevrons are cut using an overlay from ARTBOOKING Cricut Cartridge. For my card I used Pewter, Charcoal, Ballerina, Pansy, Sweet Leaf, and New England Ivy.  It was so fun to make and now I want to make more!! I use the August Stamp of the Month for the sentiment.  The Sentiment is on Daisy White which was cut using the Stitched Ovals. I added a few Clear Sparkles and the bakers twine is retired.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~  Color Dare #354 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

February Stamp of the Month Blog Hop ~ Heartfelt Sentiments

Welcome to the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!! This month we are featuring FEBRUARY’s stamp of the month ~ HEARTFELT SENTIMENTS (S1902) a set of 9.

If you are coming here from MELISSA ROBINSON’S Blog, then you are in the right spot ~ Welcome!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.  This month we have around 22 consultants participating this month so you are sure to be inspired.

I know this stamp set would work wonderfully on a scrapbook layout as it is quite large almost 6.5 by 5 inches. I had and idea of how to use it in a card.

I created a frame using Cricut Design Space you can find the file HERE. This card is 6.5 inches by 5 inches. I cut my frame in Sugarplum. I used Watercolor pencils to color the flowers, leaves and words.  I did use Sugarplum to stamp the ribbon behind the “You Make My”. I added a bit of shimmer using the Sugarplum shimmer brush and the Clear Shimmer Brush.

You can see the shimmer a bit more here.  I then added a couple of Sugarplum Glitter gems.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of February and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!

Your next stop is along this hop is MICHELLE STEWART’S Blog, so hop on over and see what wonderful creation she has for you today.
