Heart 2 Heart ~ Creative with Cardstock

Welcome to our first challenge for SEPTEMBER at Heart 2 Heart!

For this challenge we are asking you to work with cardstock only! This means no preprinted pattern papers, however, you can use pattern paper that you create by stamping. We would love for you to join us for this challenge. Please remember to use at least one Close to My Heart product in your design.

I am really loving the new color from Close to My Heart so I decided to play with Harbor, Papaya, Paprika, Peach and Shortbread. I used the Sunburst Thin Cut which should be back in stock later this month. I cut all 5 colors then placed the pieces into piles. I stamped some of the panels with the Perfectly Imperfect Patterns. I used my Circle Thin Cuts to cut the 2 inch circles. I then used the Embroidered Circles Stamp set on those circles. The sentiments are from the For All Occasions Stamp Set.

Here is a close up of one of the cards. I used the fun Autumn Loose Sequins for some bling.

Now it is your time to create something and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. Did you know you can link your projects from Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Flickr, and many other platforms using the url link to your design. You have until SEPTEMBER 30th, 2021 to participate in this challenge. Make sure you include at least one Close to My Heart product. We love to see your inspirations!!

Happy Crafting!

Stampers with Attitude Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampers with an Attitude Blog Hop!  The blogger in front of me is Melinda Everitt.   The Stampers with an Attitude are all excited to show you a little Art with an Attitude, so here we go…..

In March CTMH put out a wonderful video showing how to create a mini album.  I have been wanting to try one myself,  so I finally embarked on it.  The album I am creating is a little gift for my son’s godparents.   What I love about this album is the fact you can use all different papers.   For this album I used papers from the following collections Dream Pop, Later Sk8r, Avonlea, Stella, Dotty for you, and Footloose along with cardstock.  Although I wanted to show off the entire album I have only selected a few photos.

Mini Album- Gavin CoverFor the cover I used mostly the Later Sk8r paper with Outdoor denim.  I used the dimensional banners with blue epoxy bubbles.

For this page you can see the great textured cardstock from the Dream Pop paper along wit one of the prints.   I love the Zoology stamp set and use it for my accents.

For this page I used the adorable Bugs & Hugs stamp set.

This page used retired papers but the blended so well with the color I was using for this album. It is paper form Stella and Footloose.  I also use the Footloose WOTG stamp set.Gavin mini album pg6

I did use solid cardstock on a couple of the pages to break up the patterns. On this layout I used Pear to complement the Later Sk8r paper. I used the Look Who’s stamp set.Gavin Mini album pg7

For the center of the album I liked the concept of creating a envelope, I will use this to include additional journaling.Gavin mini album pg9I really enjoyed creating this album and I hope you will try one too.  It was really easy to create and so much fun to mix up all the different pattern papers from retired and current papers.

CTMH – Roxybonds Scrappers Team Blog Hop – La Belle Vie

Welcome to Roxybonds Scrappers Team Blog Hop!

Roxybonds Scrappers

This month we will be featuring artwork from the La Belle Vie paper pack.

If you have come from Stephanie’s Blog then you are on the right path, your next stop will be Jen’s Blog.

For this layout my inspiration was my sons birth and butterflies.  I used the Color-Ready Garden Wooden Shapes. I used the butterflies and using a dauber and Blush ink I added color to the wood. I then used Slate ink and the swirl stamp form Love Life stamp set to create the pattern.  I used that same stamp on the bamboo cardstock with the journaling. I used my Silhouette to cut the title out of Garnet card stock and the outline was also cut using my Silhouette on Slate card stock.

Now hop on over to Jen’s Blog for your next inspiration.
