I cannot begin to explain how excited I am to be a Guest Designer for Color Dare!!! I had seen this blog a while a go and had been wanting to start participating. Several weeks ago I started and it was so much fun I needed to do it again and again…. I highly recommend giving Color My Heart’s Color Dare a try, their color combinations usually inspire me to to create something fun.
This week the color challenge #98 is Buttercup and Indian Corn Blue. Here is the card I created.
It was fun to make this flower using fabric. I cut a 1″ by ” strip of fabric. I pulled some of the strands to make the frayed look. I then took a needle and used a running stitch on the opposite side of the fray. I then pulled the thread so the fabric gathered and then sewed it to the other side, resulting in a rosette style flower.
For this card I used the following products:
- Paper Pack ~Jubilee
- Cardstock ~ Indian Corn Blue, Buttercup and Colonial White
- Embellishments ~ Chantilly Fabrics, Opaque flourish, Blue Buttons, yellow bakers twine
- Stamp Set ~ Artiste Collection Word Balloons
Happy Crafting!
