Easter Banner

With our social distancing and stay at home measures, I have had a lot of time to work in my craft room. I don’t always complete some of the specials when they come out. Not with our Easter Traditions, I completed the Easter Egg Banner.

This special is wonderful as when you purchase either of the banner sets you get eight wooden eggs and the coordinating SVG file to form a banner and cut the shapes. I used the Seasonal mix in papers for eggs and cut using the associated cut files. I then used the bunny from Artfully Sent and some grass are both Cricut Cuts.

Here is a close up of the end eggs.

Color Dare #384 ~ Greys

Welcome to another week of Color Dare!  This week we have a good one for you.  This weeks challenge is GREYS!  You can use BLACK & WHITES and two other colors of your choice but that is all!!

I wanted to go with my Animal House Stamp set for February since spring is right around the corner.

How cute is this bunny? This it from Technique Tuesday, Some Bunnies. The background paper is from the new Seasonal Mix-in Paper Pack. The two colors I chose were Wisteria and Julep. I used Wisteria Ribbon, Wisteria cardstock cut with the Stitched Square Thin Cuts. To color the images, I used the Brown Grey marker, Julep Shimmer Brush, Wisteria Shimmer Brush, and Charcoal Shimmer Brush. I also used my journaling pen to add the grass and leaves to the flowers.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~  Color Dare #384  or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Welcome to the Zoe Blog Hop!

I am sure you will find a wide variety of inspirations on this hop.

If you are just arriving here from STEFANI’S Blog, or just starting at my blog then you are on the right track ~ Welcome!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.   For this hop we have about 13 consultants participating and you are going to see some fabulous artwork.

I used pattern 13 from the Make it From Your Heart Vol 3.  I love this paper pack as it is great for so many different types of layouts.  I chose to make it an Easter layout.

I used the Egg-Stra Special Stamp set for the bunny, the eggs and the cute chick.  I added the cheeks by using the cheeks from the Paper Pal Base.  The “Hunt” is a Cricut Cut that is part of my subscription.  I also used some of the Zoe stickers.  I did use a couple of the stamps from the Zoe Stamp Set.

On this side of the layout you can see the cute row of bunnies, these are from the Bunny Trail Stamp Set.  The Easter basket is also a Cricut cut that is part of my Cricut Subscription.

Here is the layout with the photos.

I ended up adding a bit more…

I added some sequins from my stash.  I then added the dashed lines for the butterfly trails using my journaling pen.

Easter Cards

I have been working on a couple Easter cards for my upcoming March Workshop.  I though I would share them with you.

For this card I used the Seasonal Mix-in papers with Pixie, Glacier, Canary, Mink and White Daisy. I used a couple of stamps sets ~ the Egg-stra Special Stamp & Thin Cuts, The Berry Best, and the Paper Pal Base as the cheeks work great with the bunny,

I did use the ears from the bunny to make the paws, I just fussy cut but you could use the thin cuts as well. I am loving the Stitched Rectangle Thin Cuts and the way they frame the cards. I did bring in two retired products the Pixie Twine and the Pink Sequins.

This card was based off a design from a fellow consultant Jacqueline Peach.  I paired the I Heart Us paper pack with Sweet Leaf and White Daisy cardstock. I used the Bunny Trail and Egg-stra Special stamp sets.

To make the grass, I used the Fringe from the Border Thin cuts.

Easter Cards Part 2

I thought I would share two more Easter Cards that I created this year.  I love the Easter Animals stamp set and used it to create these two cards.

For the card on the left I used the new Party Banners Thin Cut.  I used a Cricut cut for the one on the right. I did use retired pattern papers.  I also used my water colors to color the animals and backgrounds.

Happy Easter and Happy Crafting!

Easter Bunnies

So with my Cricut subscription I had seen an adorable 3D bunny ~ Dimensional Bunny #M2194511 and knew I needed to make it.  I could not just make one I needed to make a family of bunnies.

It was fun to crate these and look forward to displaying every year.

Bailey the Bunny Easter Card

I can’t believe Easter is this weekend!! The great news is I remembered in time to create some Easter cards to send to family.   I used my new adorable Bailey the Bunny stamp set from Technique Tuesday.

I used the wood grain embossing folder on Whisper cardstock for the background.  The rest of the cardstock is from the Whimsy Fundamentals.  The sentiment is from Eggstra Special Easter from Lawn Fawn.

ABC's Blog HopFor this hop we will be featuring the letter “G”.  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever the crafter has chosen as their “G” element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, welcome!  If you just hopped here from LINDA NORMAN’S Blog then you are in the right place.   The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Linda’s blog HERE.

For my “G” element I chose Glass Block and Easter Grass.

Glass Block ~ Easter ~ ABC's G

I am really liking my Cricut Explore and it is my go to for cutting vinyl!!  In fact I have actually (gasp) been using it more than my Silhouette!! I love the fact I can use my CTMH cartridges more as I can really design like I am use to with my Silhouette. For this project I used my the Art Philosophy cartridge for the egg which is on page 57 and the bunny with the bow are from Artfully Sent (see it is not just for cards) on page 41.  The grass and Happy Easter are from searching my Cricut Subscription.

Your next stop along the way is WENDY KESSLER’S Blog hop on over and see what wonderful creation she has for you today.
