I love fall!!! It is my FAVORITE time of year. I have been having a lot of fun playing with this stamp set.

So I love the Build a Plaid Stamp Set so I decided to make a couple of fall feeling plaids. I used Fern, Saffron, and Paprika inks to create the two plaids.

For this card, I created the plaid then using the Layered Leaves Thin Cuts. I added the corrugated paper from Hawthorn and used French Vanilla, Fern, and Paprika cardstock. I used the Copper Tinsel Embossing powder with my VersaMark Ink to stamp the “is in the air”. I used the White Burlap Ribbon with a button from my stash!

With this card I used the Build a Plaid Stamp Set to create the background plaid. I then stamped the Fall and the acorns with Espresso Pigment Ink. I then used ton on ton for the leaves then fussy cut them.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of OCTOBER and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!

Heart 2 Heart ~ Mixed Fonts

Welcome to another weekly challenge with Heart 2 Heart!

This weeks challenge is Mixed Font! You can create something using a combination of fonts. What a fun challenge! Just remember you must include one Close to My Heart product in your project.

I used a combination of font for this card. For starters I used the Seasonal Mix-in Paper pack for the base of the card. The second group of fonts is for the sentiment which is from this month’s Stamp of the Month – Random Acts fo Cardness. I also mixed in a little of the Every Little Thing Paper Pack. I love the new Wisteria color and the Wisteria Ribbon. I also love the Heart Patterns Stamp set and how they coordinate with the Stitched Heart Thin Cuts. And I could not resist making a shaker card since I am a wee bit addicted.

Now it is your time to give it a try and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until September 30th to participate in this challenge. We love to see your inspirations!!

This stamp set is wonderful as there are so many great sentiments. I decided to pair it with Sunflower Sympathy Stamp Set.

I made two different cards using this wonderful sunflower!

I created my own plaid paper using the Build a Plaid Stamp Set. I used Sapphire ink on Daisy White. I paired it with Saffron, Paprika and New England Ivy. I wanted to add a bit of shimmer to the card, so I added Gold Shimmer brush to the tips of the butterfly. I also added few Gold Glitter Gems.

For this card I used Gold Embossing powder on Kraft paper. I then use my watercolor paints to paint in the yellow. I used Sapphire Pigment ink to stamp the sentiment and then added a bit of Clear Embossing Powder. I stamped Paprika on Paprika for the centers. I then went over the centers with Clear Shimmer Brush.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of SEPTEMBER and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!

For my card I used Pewter, Charcoal, Ballerina, Pansy, Sweet Leaf, and New England Ivy.  It was so fun to make and now I want to make more!! I use the August Stamp of the Month for the sentiment.  The Sentiment is on Daisy White which was cut using the Stitched Ovals. I added a few Clear Sparkles and the bakers twine is retired.

August Stamp of the Month ~ From Me to You

Welcome to the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!! This month we are featuring August’s stamp of the month ~ FROM ME TO YOU (S1908) a set of 38.

If you are coming here from KATY TAYLOR’S Blog, then you are in the right spot ~ Welcome!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.  This month we have around 14 consultants participating this month so you are sure to be inspired.

I was inspired by a card that was given out at the Consultant Showcase  at our Close to My Heart Convention this past month.  It was made by Kathy Corson. I then saw a flower tutorial that Miss. Carrie Creations did using velum with the Stitched Flowers and decided to try.  Here is my creation.

I love these Stitched Flowers Thin Cuts!! I cut one layer in Sapphire and one layer in Velum.  I then sponged Sapphire ink over the velum.  I cut the petals down towards the center so they would curl and pop up more.  I used the fringe thin cut from the Decorative Border set to make the flower center in Sugarplum.  I curled the fringe using my quilling tool.  I used the True Love Paper Pack for the card. I paired it with the Sugarplum cardstock and glitter paper.  And a card would not be complete without a bit of bling so I added some Sugarplum glitter gems.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of AUGUST and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!

I love this mamma bear and cub!  I wanted to design a layout but then decided on a card.  Here is what I designed.

I thought the bright yellow gingham from Craft On would be great for the background. I stamped the bears in Espresso Pigment Ink. I used my watercolor pencils to color the flowers and butterfly.  Here is the inside of the card.

The card open by swinging the bears to the right. The hearts are a bit hard to see but they are stamped in Lemon on either side of the sentiment.

So I had an idea to do the a black / white version of a card.  Here is how it turned out…

Close to My Heart ~ CTMH ~ CatScrapbooing ~ June SOTM ~ It's Your Day to Sparkle

So I decided to do two version which were the opposite of each other.  I started with the one on the left.

Close to My Heart ~ CTMH ~ CatScrapbooing ~ June SOTM ~ It's Your Day to Sparkle

I used Versamark ink on the Black cardstock and then heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. I then used our Watercolor Paints to color the flowers and cake.  I find the pencils are not able to get as rich of a color on the darker cardstock.  I used the pink pattern from the Mix-in Paper pack and the Black & White Polka Dot paper from Craft On Paper Pack.  I used the white dots from the Black & White Dots.

Close to My Heart ~ CTMH ~ CatScrapbooing ~ June SOTM ~ It's Your Day to Sparkle

I used Versamark ink on the White Daisy cardstock and then heat embossed with Black Embossing Powder. I then used our Watercolor Paints to color the flowers and cake.  I find the pencils are not able to get as rich of a color on the darker cardstock.  I used the Mix-in Paper pack with the pink pattern and the adorable heart paper. I use the black of the Black & White Dots.

This is such a fun stamp set! Here is what I have for you ….

I stamp the sweet women using Intense Black Ink.  I then used my Watercolor Pencils and Waterbrush to add color to the ladies.

I decided to use the Sweet Girl Paper for this card. I wanted to break up all the pinks so I decided to use Sapphire to mat the white stitched image of the girls, which I used the Square Stitched Thin Cuts.  I then used White Embossing Powder for the sentiment.  I used some of the pink sequins from the Crafty Loose Sequins.  I used pattern 29 form the Make it from Your Heart Volume 2 as my design for this card.

I have been having a bit of fun playing with some fancy fold style cards.  I have been playing with one called Joy Fold Card.

For this card I used the Feels Like Home paper pack. To make this card it is actually very simple.  The base, in this card is 8 1/2 by 4 1/4 inches using Fern cardstock.  I then scored it at 5 1/2 inches.  The second piece I used Sugarplum and it is cut to 8 by 3 inches and is scored at 4 inches.

This is what the card looks like when it is open.

For the front I used one of the tags from the Fancy Tag Thin Cuts for the Thanks.  I used my journaling pen around the edges and used White Embossing Powder.  I used the Mink twine and my Sugarplum Shimmer brush.  I used fern ink to stamp the leaves and used first and second generation ink. I created another Joy Fold card for Heart 2 Heart challenge using this stamp set as well, you can find it HERE.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of April and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!

Welcome to another weekly challenge with Heart 2 Heart!

Colour Challenges are fun as they give you the start of your inspiration. I decided to try a fun fold card. I stumbled on a Joy Fold card and decided to give it a try.

The base of the card is Glacier cardstock which was cut at 8.5 inches by 4.25 inches.  I then scored it at 5.5 inches. The Peach cardstock was cut at 8 inches by 3 inches and scored at 4 inches. I used the Seasonal Mixin for the pattern paper.

Here you can see how the card opens.

I used the April Stamp of the Month which features the butterflies, sentiments and floral details. I used the Circle Stitched Thin Cuts and the floral border if from the Decorative Border Thin Cuts.

Now it is your time to give it a try and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until April 30th to participate in this challenge. We love to see your inspirations!!
