This is such a beautiful stamp set and with all those sentiments!

I designed two cards for you today. I will start with the one on the left.

So one of our fellow Close to My Heart Makers, Chelsey Vorosmarty, and I was inspired by one of her cards to create this card. I used one of the left over Stitched Rectangle Thin Cut frames that I had left over. Because I never know when I will be able to use it. I used it like a stencil to sponge on Peacock Feathers Oxide Inks. I then spritzed it with some water. I then sprayed a bit of Lime Green Gloss Spray. I then colored the flowers with my Triblend Markers. I did add a bit of Glisten Stickles Glitter Glue to the flowers.

For this card, I stamped the heart image on Black Cardstock with White Pigment Ink and then used White Embossing Powder. I then colored the flowers and leaves using my Watercolor paint. I backed the black cardstock with Raspberry Cardstock. I did use the Stitched Rectangle Thin Cuts on the black cardstock.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of OCTOBER. If you are a member of the Close To My Heart VIP program and you place a qualifying order of $50 in the US, you will get the stamp for FREE!! September SOTM Blog Hop – Here for the Memories

Welcome to the SOTM Blog Hop!

If you are coming here from MELISSA ROBINSON’S Blog, then you are in the right spot ~ Welcome!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.  This month we have around 20 consultants participating this month so you are sure to be inspired.

I had this idea to focus on the sentiment “let the good times roll”. I used one of the Happiest Place digital files and cut with my Cricut. I thought the rollercoaster would be fun paired with the sentiment.

I used my Distressed Oxide inks which are one of the many new products we are carrying. I used Cracked Sapphire and Pumice to create these cards.

With this card I sponged the background using dauber. I then spritz the cardstock with water. I used Candy Apple Pigment Ink to stamp the sentiment. I then used clear embossing powder.

To create this background, I smooshed the ink pads on my All Purpose Mat, then spritzed the ink on the mat. I then squished the cardstock into the spritzed ink. I used my heating tool to dry before dabbing it back thru the inks on the mat and heated. I repeated this process until I liked the mount of ink. I framed the card using the frame from the Stitched Rectangle Thin Cuts. Lastly I added a couple of Blue Belle Sequins. Blue Belle is our color of the year!

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of SEPTEMBER and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!

I decided to combine this stamp set with the Gnome Matter Stamp Set and Thin Cut.

For this card I use the stitched rectangle thin cuts on the Seasonal Mix-ins. The large flower was inked with the rock-n-roll technique. I used Canary ink and then rolled in Smoothie. I then used my journaling pen to ink around the flower so it would look more like the others. I colored the rest of the images with my markers. I did fussy cut the leaves and flowers. I used my watercolor paints to color the hill my Gnome stands on.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of AUGUST and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!

I wanted to focus on some of the smaller stamps in this stamp set rather than the girl holding the bouquet.

I had this idea to random stamp the butterflies on black cardstock and then watercolor. I stamped the butterflies with White Pigment ink and then used white embossing powder. I used the Brushed Papers along with Canary and Pixie cardstocks.

Here is a detail where you can see the watercolor paints as they show up on the black cardstock. I also added a couple of the Whited Dots.

Heart 2 Heart ~ Tags

Welcome to another weekly challenge with Heart 2 Heart!

This weeks theme is Tags! Tags can be used in so many ways. We cannot wait to see what you come up with. Please remember you much use at least one Close to My Heart product.

I used the June Stamp of the month ~ Garden Tags and A Million Little Things stamp set. This months stamp of the month coordinates with the Tags and Tabs Thin Cuts. I had this idea to focus on the center of the tag by doing a cut away. So I created a mask to cover the outside of the stamp image.

I then stamped the top left tag three times then colored. I then cut four of the Daisy White cardstock with the stitched oval thin cut and layered them. I also used the Rectangle Stitched Thin Cut.

Here is how I cut the tag with the two dies. I used a bit of post-it tape to hold them together.

Now it is your time to create something and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until June 30th to participate in this challenge. Make sure you include at least one Close to My Heart product. We love to see your inspirations!!

June Stamp of the Month Blog Hop ~ Garden Tags

Welcome to the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!! This month we are featuring May’s stamp of the month ~ GARDEN TAGS a set of 8.

I have been working on a fancy fold workshop and this is one of the cards that I designed for it. It is a Triangle fold card or Diagonal fold card.

I used the Seasonal Mix-In Papers along with White and Sapphire cardstock. I used watercolor pencils to color in the garden tag. I added a couple of silver glitter gems.

Here is the inside. I used Peach cardstock and the one of the zip strips form the Seasonal Mix-In Papers.

To Make this card I used an 8 1/2 x 11 inch piece of paper. I cut it at a diagonal so you get two cards out of one piece. You need to score at 5 1/2″ along the long edge and then 4 1/2″ along the shorter side.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of JUNE and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!

I LOVED the tutorial that Miss. Carrie’s Creations shared HERE showing how you can make totally different cards using the same Cricut Cut. I decided to replicate it for the most part using the Stamp of the Month and the new Seasonal Mix-in Papers.

I used the Everyday Memories Cricut cuts. I stretched the cuts to change it from a 4.25″ to 5.5″. I used the white ribbon along the top and added one of the Acrylic Hearts.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of MAY and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!

I love this stamp set! I knew as soon as I saw it that I wanted to make a Pop Up Shadow Box card with it. If you want to see the basics on how this was made you can check out this post for directions.

There are actually two layers in the middle. I did do a lot of fussy cutting but it was totally worth it! I was inspired by the card in the catalog which shows the port hole window. I did use a bit of Waterfall Stickles and Golden Rod Stickles with the treasure chest. I also used Glacier, Daisy White and Peach cardstock. I used the Seas the Day paper pack.

I also created a layout with the stamp set.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of APRIL and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!

I have to be honest in saying Vintage/Heritage is not my thing. I appreciate it but it is something I struggle with so this stamp set and the Yesterday and Today papers are not really in my wheel house. But I am up for a challenge and here is what I came up with.

For this card I used Espresso for the base and used the Yesterday & Today Paper Pack. I used the floral stamp to create the pattern on the middle of the card. I stamped Espresso on the pattern paper. I also inked all the edges in of the papers in Espresso ink. I used the Oval Stitched Thin Cut for the sentiment. The flower is from the Yesterday & Today Sticker Sheet, which I used my watercolor brush with Sangria ink to color. The leaves are from the Yesterday & Today Velum, which I colored with Fern ink.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of MARCH and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!

February Stamp of the Month Blog Hop ~ Cherishing Her

Welcome to the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!! This month we are featuring January’s stamp of the month ~Cherishing Her (S2002) a set of 23.

This stamp set has such a wonderful bouquet of flowers that you will want to make as a focal point on your artwork. Here is what I came up with.

I wanted to create a card with the bouquet as the focus so I started with the one on the right. I decided to play with the new Holographic papers to stamp some of the flowers.

I fussy cut the bouquet and colored it with our Tri-blend markers. I stamped the flowers on the Dreamy Holographic papers and the Oasis Holographic papers. I used Stazon Ink and then fussy cut. I used the Seasonal Mix-in papers and a bit of Black shimmer trim. This cards pattern is number 9 from the Make it From Your Heart Volume 4.

For this card I stamped a portion of the bouquet around the edges ad then colored them. I used the brush stroke stamp from the Can’t Get Enough stamp set. I used Lagoon ink for the strokes and to mat behind the flowers.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of FEBRUARY and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!
