Color Dare #448 ~ Love of Color

Welcome to another challenge with Color Dare! For Challenge #448 we have our Love of Color challenge. Choose at least three of the colors for your project. Black, White, and Gold are FREE.

I went for all the colors except Charcoal. I love the Hillside Cottage Card Making Workshop, so I decided to recreate one of the cards using these colors.

I love that these patterns can be recreated with other colors and papers. I used a retired Seasonal Mix in for the peach. The sage is from Hillside Cottage papers. I used Dessert Rose to sponge behind the flowers on the White Cardstock.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~  Color Dare #447  or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page. You can also link up via Pinterest, Instagram, Flickr and  other forums. For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Happy Crafting!

THING 3:  Twisted Sister says, “Let’s celebrate ‘Yoyo Day’! Yoyos have had their ups and downs (tee-hee).  There are so many ways to celebrate and you don’t need a Yoyo. Use your imagination to create a fun birthday theme and let your creativity run wild using a Yoyo trick to inspire you. Let us know in your post which Yoyo trick you selected for your inspiration. Here is a list of the most popular Yoyo tricks: Walk the Dog, Walk the Cat (include a dog or cat) The Sleeper, Rock the Baby (Baby card)Around the Corner (park), Around the World (Vacation)Shoot the Moon (Outer Space)Three Leaf Clover, Pin Wheel (Using images)This is an OPTIONAL TWIST but you will be awarded an additional chance in Double Trouble’s random draw if you include this twist in your project.

THING 2:  Double Dare says, “I dare you to multiply the fun by linking your project with any previous partner(s) listed on their website. You will qualify for extra chances in our Random Draw.  Make sure you read their guidelines carefully and observe their dates. We don’t want you to get into trouble.”This means each time you link to a previous partner with the same card, you gain an additional chance. Please identify each of them in your blog along with our Double Trouble link.

Bonus Yoyo Twist:
Double Dare triple dares you to join our Bonus Yoyo Twist.  Take that Yoyo out of storage and have your family play a little.  Take a photo and enter your photo, or a past Yoyo scrapbook page (backlink acceptable), and you will be entered into an additional random draw prize based on participation. Check YouTube for tutorials on some of the easier Yoyo tricks. Click HERE to enter your Bonus Yoyo Twist.

I chose to make a birthday card and my Yoyo inspiration is the Gyrosphere.

I remembered I had one of these Circle Spin Cards. I thought the spinning circle reminds me of a Gyroscope. I used the Party Time Paper pack and Sticker sheet. I also used the Wishing You Everything Stamp and Thin Cut. I added a couple of sapphire dots from my stash.

I am linking this card up with CRAFTING HAPPINESS CHALLENGES as they have an anything goes challenge going on.

I hope you will join in the fun! Thank you to the ladies over at Double Trouble for allowing me the opportunity you be a Crazy Cousin! Happy Crafting!

Color Dare #446 ~ Yellow, Blue, and Grey

Welcome to another Color Dare Challenge! This week for Color Dare #446 we are featuring Yellow, Blue, and Grey. You must use all three colors and you can add in Black, White, and Silver.

I just received these fun dies and could not wait to play with them.

I created my own background using Blueprint Sketch Oxide ink. I used Canary cardstock behind the white flower dies. I used Mink cardstock for the sentiment and stamped the sentiment with Charcoal Ink. I added a couple of silver sequins.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~  Color Dare #446  or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page. Double Trouble Crazy Cousin Guest Designer Challenge #84 ~ Let the Troubles Begin

This month I was asked to be the Crazy Cousin Guest Designer at Double Trouble. This is my second challenge, Challenge #84.

Thing 1:  Trouble Maker says, “Did you know that May 18th is “No Dirty Dishes Day”? This special day encourages people to take a break from doing dishes for the day and spend the time saved doing things for FUN.  So, let’s keep your sink happy, use paper products and do your part by saying NO dirty dishes today!

So… for FUN use some patterned paper from your stash and create an any-occasion girly girl project.” You can stop here… OR play along with Twisted Sister’s optional twist below to earn another chance at our random draw.

Thing 3:  Twisted Sister says, “What! No Dirty dishes for only a Day?  My sink is used to being piled up just like my stash.  So let’s choose some embellishments and/or bling (glitter, gems, sequins, ribbons, flowers, etc.) from your stash, and don’t be afraid to pile it on your girly girl project.”  Optional Twist:  If you have included embellishments and/or bling on your project you will earn another chance for our Random Draw.

Thing 2:  Double Dare says, “If you have met Trouble Maker’s girly girl  requirement, with or without bling, you are eligible to enter your project HERE  for Stinkin’ Inkers Challenge #  “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”.  This is a monthly challenge and DTC will be participating starting May 17th through Sunday, May 30th.

Here is my design

I cut two pieces of the Lovely papers 3 3/4 inch by 5 inch then cut along the diagonals. Since I had enough to make two cards, I did!

Here is the inside. I used the Floral Borders and Sentiment stamp set. I colored the flowers with Bashful and Julep Shimmer Brushes. The “thank you” is from a retired Stamp of the Month.

I hope you will join in the fun! Happy Crafting!
