Technique Blog Hop ~ The Pretty of Paper-Piecing

Welcome to the Technique Blog Hop!

This month we are exploring techniques that use Paper Piecing. Stencils can be used in a variety of way to color, add a bit of shine, or splatter. If you are coming from KATY TAYLOR’s Blog, you are on the right track! If you get lost you can find a full list of participants HERE we have about 10 participating in this hop.

So I know you can stamp patten paper piece the pieces together to crate a fun image. I wanted to try something different. I used this image I found on Pinterest.

So I took that original fox and added a few lines and colored how I envisioned.

Here is final image that I settled on. I scanned the image and uploaded it into my Silhouette program. I then created a cut file.

For this card I used the Timber Paper Pack for the background which I cut using the Stitched Rectangle Thin Cuts. I also used some of the papers from the Seasonal Mix ins. I did use one of our retired embossing folders to emboss the Daisy White Cardstock.

For this one I used only the papers from the Seasonal Mix ins. I did use the same Stitched Rectangle Thin Cuts.

Here is the third using another of the paper from the from the Seasonal Mix ins.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto MISS CARRIE’S CREATION where you will find some additional artwork!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought and happy hopping!

Today you will be hopping with the same talented consultants who bring you the Stamp of the Month blog hop. For this hop we are featuring artwork using products from the new May-June Idea Book. I am sure you will find a wide variety of inspirations on this hop.

If you are just arriving here from Miss Carrie’S Blog, or just starting at my blog then you are on the right track ~ Welcome!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.   For this hop we have about 16 consultants participating and you are going to see some fabulous artwork.

The first item that caught my eye was the Gnome Matter Stamp and Thin cuts. I love Gnomes and was so excited to play with this set.

I stared with this one creating a scene with sponging the background. I then used the circle from the Shaker Thin Cut window and the stitched Rectangle thin cut to cut the Daisy White Cardstock.

For this card I used the new Timber paper Pack and the Say It In Style Stamp Set.

The pattern paper is from Timber and the trees are cut with my Cricut using the Aurora collection. The sentiment is also from the Say It In Style Stamp Set.

Color Dare #402 ~ Blues

Welcome to another week of Color Dare!  This week we have a good one for you.  This weeks challenge is all about Blues! You can use any of the colors you see in the photo and BLACK, WHITES, SILVER and NEUTRALS are free  but that is all!!

Blues are one of my favorites so this makes it hard when you want to design the perfect thing. Here is what I came up with.

I used the butterfly image from the Stitched Cricut Collection. I merged two of the butterflies to make a card base.

I used Bluebird cardstock for the cover. I used my Bluebird shimmer brush on one and not on the other.

For the body on both I added a bit of Black Stickles.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~  Color Dare #403  or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

July Stamp of the Month Blog Hop – For My Beautiful Friend

Welcome to the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!! This month we are featuring May’s stamp of the month ~ FOR MY BEAUTIFUL FRIEND a set of 8.

If you are coming here from MELISSA ROBINSON’S Blog, then you are in the right spot ~ Welcome!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.  This month we have around 18 consultants participating this month so you are sure to be inspired.

I wanted to focus on some of the smaller stamps in this stamp set rather than the girl holding the bouquet.

I had this idea to random stamp the butterflies on black cardstock and then watercolor. I stamped the butterflies with White Pigment ink and then used white embossing powder. I used the Brushed Papers along with Canary and Pixie cardstocks.

Here is a detail where you can see the watercolor paints as they show up on the black cardstock. I also added a couple of the Whited Dots.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of JULY and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!
