Mother’s Day Cards

I saw Double Trouble’s Challenge and it inspired me to create these Mother’s Day Cards.

I created a stencil from Artfully Sent. I used some of my oxide inks that matched the best with the colors in Double Trouble. I added the simple sentiment and a few gems. I am also entering this card in Make the Cards Challenge #13.

I then made a couple more with some other colors.

I have two favorites when it comes to the National Scrapbooking Celebration. The first is the Cheerful Humor Cardmaking Workshop and the second is the These Little Piggies Album Workshop. I have to admit I really wanted them all!!

How cute are these little piggies? I decided to pull out my Multi Square Window Thin Cut for this card. I also used the Cheerful Humor Cardmaking Workshop for the sentiment.

With this card I used the new Make it From Your Heart Volume 5 to design this card. I did rotate the orientation of the card. I used the Stitched Rectangle Thin Cut to cut the Mink base, once I sadded the squares. I the matted on Ballerina. The squares are from the Hillside Cottage Paper Pack which is giving you a sneak peek of one of the upcoming papers. The sentiment comes from the Cheerful Humor Cardmaking Workshop. Heart 2 Heart ~ Old and New

Welcome to another Heart 2 Heart Challenge!

For our second challenge of April we hav something old and something new. Earth Day in around the corner so we are celebrating it by using something old and pairing it with something new. We would love for you to participate in our challenge. Just remember to use at least one Close to My Heart product!

I went with the Kitchen Gnomes which is a stamp and thin cut collection in our March/April Idea book. I actually colored all these gnomes back in March but they have ben sitting on my table waiting to be put to use. I paired them with some papers that are current but most are from previous Idea Books.

For the guys gnomes I used the Candy Apple patterned paper from the current Seasonal Mix-in Collection. The Sapphire pattern is from the July/August 2020 Seasonal Mix-in Collection which is in the online only section. The Evergreen pattern paper is from our January/February 2020 seasonal mix-ins. For all of these cards I used the Birthday Borders stamp set and thin cuts. I also used the Black & White dots. I used White Pigment ink and White embossing Powder on the sentiments. The blue embossed sentiment is something pretty old…. I used the Outdoor Denim embossing powder, which was around when I started with CTMH almost 10 years ago.

For the girl gnomes, the card design is based off one by designed by Laura’s Creative Pages, which I saw on Instagram. I added the whisk stamp and thin cut from the Eat Play Love Cardmaking set. For these cards I used the Lagoon pattern paper from the Seasonal Mix-in collection. The Peach pattern paper is from our January/February 2020 seasonal mix-ins. The Purple patten paper is form the In This Together Special which just ended in March. I added one of the White Flower Sequins to the chef hats.

Now it is your time to create something and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. Did you know you can link your projects from Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Flickr, and many other platforms using the url link to your design. You have until APRIL 30th, 2021 to participate in this challenge. Make sure you include at least one Close to My Heart product. We love to see your inspirations!!
