Color Dare ~ #373 Black & White plus 3 colors

This week at Color Dare we have a super fun challenge! We are partnering with Double Trouble. So for Color Dare Black and White Must Be Used – Plus Add 3 Additional Colors and No Other Neutrals. Double Trouble Requirement: THING 1: Trouble Maker says, “I went to the Zoo and the Zebra was my favorite animal. Won’t you include something striped (no plaid) somewhere in your project. If you use a black and white stripe you get another chance for the draw.” And the three colors option is to meet the requirement of Color Dare’s requirements.

I was looking on Pinterest for an inspiration since my mind is all over the place with Christmas fast approaching. I found this card and thought it would be perfect. Here is my take.

The black and white stripped paper is from a retired paper pack. The three colors I used is Wisteria, Julep, and Carolina. I added the Wisteria Ribbon and a few Julep Sequins. I stamped Birthday from the Say It In Style in White Pigment ink then used White Embossing Powder on the black cardstock. The Happy dies are from my stash.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~  Color Dare #373  or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, December 29, 2019 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Heart 2 Heart ~ Anything Goes – Holiday

Welcome to another weekly challenge with Heart 2 Heart!

This weeks challenge is anything goes – holiday edition. Have fun sharing a holiday project with us. Just remember you must use at least one Close to My Heart product in your creation.

I have been wanting to get back to scrapbooking so I took this opportunity to create a holiday layout. I used the Cedar & Pine papers. I used the Make it from your Heart Volume 3, pattern 2 for my layout.

Here is the left side with my photos. The title is a Cricut cut that I cut in mirror so that the white edges were not as apparent. The Flower and branches are also Cricut cuts from Flower Market.

Now it is your time to create something and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until December 31st to participate in this challenge. We love to see your inspirations!!

Heart 2 Heart ~ Evergreen

Welcome to another weekly challenge with Heart 2 Heart!

This weeks challenge is Evergreen. This can be interpreted in different ways like Evergreen Trees or even the color Evergreen, which is one of the new colors that Close to My Heart released this year. Just remember you must use at least one Close to My Heart product in your creation.

I decided to create an Iris fold card using a couple of Evergreen papers. I used Evergreen Cardstock, one of the pattern papers from Cedar & Pine, and one of the pattern papers from the Seasonal Mix-in. I used the snowflake embossing folder once I had cut the shape of the tree. I actually used an exacto blade to cut the tree.

I kept the inside pretty simple with a sentiment stamped in Evergreen from this month’s Stamp of the Month ~ Reindeer Crossing.

Now it is your time to create something and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until December 31st to participate in this challenge. We love to see your inspirations!!

You will be hopping with the same talented consultants who bring you the Stamp of the Month blog hop. For this hop we are featuring artwork which showcases the BEST FRIENDS FUREVER promotion. I am sure you will find a wide variety of inspirations on this hop.

If you are just arriving here from MELINDA EVERITT’S Blog, or just starting at my blog then you are on the right track ~ Welcome!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.   For this hop we have about 10 consultants participating and you are going to see some fabulous artwork.

I love this paper pack and can’t wait to create some layouts as well. Unfortunately I was not able to do so before this hop but plan to do so soon. I decided to show you how you can make some really cute cards with this collection.

I saw the cute three cats and knew this was the image I wanted to start using. I used pattern number 5 from Make It From Your Heart Volume 4. I decided to mix in Wisteria in with the pinks. I stamped the paw prints with pewter ink around the border. I colored the kitties with my Tri-blend markers. I also used my markers to color the Acrylic Hearts.

I then decided to make one with the puppies. It was a bit trickier as I had to make the collection of the three dogs. I accomplished this by using masking. I did use black pigment ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I also added a couple black dots from the Black & White dots.

Heart 2 Heart ~ An Attitude of Gratitude

Welcome to another weekly challenge with Heart 2 Heart!

This months Stamp of the Month works perfectly for this challenge as it has a couple of sentiments like “Grateful” and “Blessings”. I chose to use this stamp set for my project; however, you can create anything that reflects an attitude of gratitude to you. Just remember you must use at least one Close to My Heart product on your design.

I chose to use the Seasonal Mix-In papers for the card. I stamped the flowers in Glacier and second generation Smoothie. The leaves were stamped with Clover. I then used my VersaMark ink to stamp the veins on the flowers and used White Embossing Powder. I cut the vine like leaves after stamping in Evergreen ink. I added a couple of the Holly Jolly Dots.

Now it is your time to give it a try and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until November 30th to participate in this challenge. We love to see your inspirations!!

Technique Blog Hop – Paper-Layering

Welcome to the Technique Blog Hop!

This month we are focusing on layers.   This could be layering of stamps or papers. This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork. If you are coming from KATY TAYLOR’S Blog, you are on the right track! If you get lost you can find a full list of participants HERE.

I decided to go with layering of papers. I love the Paper Pal Christmas Stamp Set and Thin Cuts, but I have not played with them yet. I know they will be great for layouts so I decided to make a card.

I used the Seasonal mix-in papers. I added some shimmer with the Red Shimmer trim and a few of the red sequins from the Holiday Loose Sequins. I used Tri-blend markers to color him. You start with the Paper Pal stamp and thin cuts and then you have to layer his pants, jacket, beard and hat. The end result is a super cute Santa!!

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto TAMARA SANDWISCH’S BLOG where you will find some additional artwork!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought and happy hopping!
