Color Dare #477 ~ Inspirational Photo

Welcome to the last Color Dare Challenge of 2021! For Color Dare Challenge #477 we are featuring an inspirational photo. For this challenge you need to choose at least three of the colors seen in the photo. Black and White are Free to use.

I decided to use Pink, Purple and Greed with Black and White.

I played with a couple of new products I got from Honey Bee Stamps. I used the Lovely Layers Rose Honey cut for the beautiful rose. I used only Wild Berry cardstock for the flower. I used a sponge to ink the edges to create the darker layers. I used Evergreen and Clover Cardstock for the stem and leaves. I used the Delicate Doily Stencil with Villainous Potions Oxide Ink on Daisy White Cardstock. I then used the Stitched Rectangle Thin Cut. I pulled the sentiment from my stash which I used Black Pigment Ink and the Heat Embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. I used my Clear Shimmer Brush to splatter the stenciled doily and to go over the rose.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~  Color Dare #477 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page. Heart 2 Heart ~ Winter Wonderland

Welcome to the second challenge of December with Heart 2 Heart!

For this challenge our theme is Winter Wonderland. So maybe this is a layout or a card or what ever you interpret as a Winter Wonderland. Join us at Heart 2 Heart by linking up your project, just remember to identify what Close to My Heart product you use.

I had this idea of creating an snow globe shaker card.

So I used the Seasonal Mix-in papers for the background. I knew I wanted to use the adorable scene form the Wonderland papers. To make the snow globe I used the Circle Shaker Window Thin Cut and Circle Shaker Window Foam and Acetate. To make the shaker stand CTMH released a cut file a couple of years ago (2019) with a special of shaker ornaments. If you go here you can see another snow globe card. The sentiment is from a a retired stamp set. I used White Embossing Powder and White Embossing Powder. In the shaker I used the Snowflake sequins and White Bitty Beads.

Now it is your time to create something and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. Did you know you can link your projects from Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Flickr, and many other platforms using the url link to your design. You have until DECEMBER 31th, 2021 to participate in this challenge. Make sure you include at least one Close to My Heart product. We love to see your inspirations!!

Technique Hop – “Accents of White”

Welcome to the Technique Hop!

This month we are focusing on accents of white on our projects! So it is up to the Maker to pick the products and how they wish to showcase. If you are coming from KIM LOEWEN’s Blog, you are on the right track! If you get lost you can find a full list of participants HERE we have about 8 makers participating in this hop.

For my card I decided to create my own background using White Embossing Powder, Oxide Inks, Clear Shimmer Brush and White Gloss Spray. I used the If Snowflakes Were Kisses Stamp and Thin Cuts along with the Floral Snowflakes Stamp and Thin Cuts.

The first step was to stamp a few of the snowflakes onto Daisy White cardstock using VersaMark ink. I then used the White Embossing Powder. I then sponged on Mermaid Lagoon and Chipped Sapphire Distressed Oxide Ink.

I spritzed the cardstock with water, then splattered the Clear Shimmer Brush and sprayed a bit of the White Gloss Spray. This photo it taken before I took my shammy and wiped the ink off the embossed snowflakes. So in the final card you notice how white the snowflakes look.

I cut the tag for the sentiment with the Buildable Tag Thin Cuts. I used the VersaMark ink and White Embossing Powder for the sentiment. I then used my White Gel Pen to make the stitching around the edge and the white accent on the nose of the polar bear. I colored the polar bear with my Tri-blend Markers and popped him up with a bit of foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto HALEY DYER’s Blog where you will find some additional artwork!  Be sure to leave a comment and happy hopping!

Heart 2 Heart ~ Embellish It

Welcome to the first challenge of December at Heart 2 Heart!

Join us at Heart 2 Heart by linking up your project, just remember to identify what Close to My Heart product you use.

Here is my project:

I decided to use the Under the Mistletoe Stamp and Thin Cut for this card. I also used the Slimline Shaker Window Thin Cut with Scarlet Glitter Paper. I used the Seasonal Mix in Papers for the background.

I added a bit of Carnation Red Liquid Pearls to the holly on her hair band. I then added a bit of Christmas Red Stickles to the ribbon of some of the gifts. I then use a product from my stash called Cosmic Shimmer Fluffy stuff for the puffy look at the bottom of her skirt and pompoms. I colored her with my markers.

I used my Silver & Gold metallic markers to color the stars and beads. I used the Carnation Red Liquid Pearls, Christmas Red Stickles, and Green Stickles Glitter Glue to color the ornaments. I used the Holiday Loose Sequins for the shaker.

Color Dare #473 ~ Tic-Tac-Toe Wonderland

Welcome to Color Dare #473! This week we have a Tic Tac Toe board featuring the colors of the Wonderland papers. How this works is choose a row, column or diagonal. You can add in the other colors as long as they are on the board. Black and White are free.

I went with the first column ~ Wisteria, Mulberry, and Rosemary.

December SOTM – Owl Love You Forever Blog Hop

Welcome to the December Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

If you are coming here from KIMBERLY LOEWEN’s BLOG, then you are in the right spot ~ Welcome!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating Makers on Melinda’s blog HERE, we have about 10 Makers on this hop.

I love these owls! I decided to make a shaker with a winter theme in mind. I planned to use the snowflake sequins that I purchased but I seemed to have lost them in my craft room. I remember when I was taking them out of the box I dropped them then got pulled away. Well wouldn’t you know when I came back to find them …. I couldn’t. So you make do.

I used the Wonderland papers to cut the cover with the Curved Rectangle Frame Thin Cut. I colored the owl with my markers and my silver metallic marker. Since I couldn’t find my snowflakes, I used my Silver Sequins.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of DECEMBER. If you are a member of the Close To My Heart VIP program and you place a qualifying order of $50 in the US, you will get the stamp for FREE!! Otherwise if you spend $50 in US you can purchase for $5.

Your next stop is along this hop is MY HEARTFELT SENTIMENTS, so hop on over and see what wonderful creation she has for you today.

Happy Crafting!
