Slimline Card Blog Hop

Welcome to the Slimline Card Blog Hop!

You will be hopping with the same talented Makers who bring you the Stamp of the Month blog hop. For this hop we are featuring the Slimline Cards! There will be sure to see some beautiful artwork!

If you are just arriving here from DARLYS RECKER’S Blog, or just starting at my blog then you are on the right track ~ Welcome!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating Makers on Melinda’s blog HERE.   For this hop we have about 13 Makers participating and you are going to see some fabulous artwork.

I decided to use the new Thin Cut Circles to make this card. I used the 2 inch circle to make the cuts. Here is how I designed it.

I stared with a 3 x 8 inch piece of Daisy White. I drew a line down the center at 1 1/2 inches. I then made tick marks at 1/2 inch, 2 1/2 inch, 3 inch, 5 inch, 5 1/2 inch and 7 1/2 inch. I then lined the circle thin cut up in the 2 inch spaces.

This is what it looked like. I then erased the pencil marks. I then used Chipped Sapphire and Peeled Paint oxide inks to color the base. I used the circles to stamp the images from the Take a Hike Stamp Set. I added a couple of the Wood Arrows and Black Dots.

Your next stop is along this hop is MY HEARTFELT SENTIMENTS  so hop on over and see what wonderful creation she has for you today.

Happy Crafting!

  1. I love everything about this card. I was debating the same circle design, so I love that you did. I also had this set out, now I am going to have to recreate this card. Thank you for inspiring me.

  2. I love it! Very creative and a great tutorial.

  6. Brenda L says

Fantastic card! Thank you for sharing how you spaced the circles to use the Thin Cuts. I did something similar in Design Space but ran out of time to use the “file”.

  7. Great background and I love the circles with the outdoor images.

  8. Great card! Love everything… Love the theme and colors – grass to sky- makes me want to go on a hike!! So many possibilities and the oxides inks makes it POP! TFS the cut details.

  9. I am obsessed with this! The background is so dreamy and you’;ve convinced me to get that stamp set.
