Technique Hop – “Plastic Patterns”

Welcome to the Technique Blog Hop!

This month we are exploring techniques that use with windows or hidden objects. If you are coming from MELISSA ROBINSON’s Blog, you are on the right track! If you get lost you can find a full list of participants HERE we have about 10 makers participating in this hop.

I made these four cards out of one 8 1/2 x 11 inch piece of Distressed Watercolor paper.

With these two cards I simply matted them on Nectarine and Candy Apple cardstock. I used the Black Ore paper for the thanks on the left and Charcoal for the thanks on the right. I added a few dots with my Onyx Liquid Pearls.

For these I used the stitched scalloped edge and then stamped the sentiment below. The sentiments are from the October Stamp of the Month, With all my Love. I also assed a few dots using the Onyx Liquid Pearls. I will explain how I made my paper.

My first step was to apply the oxide inks Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade, and Picked Raspberry. My son actually picked the colors to use. I did blend them where they overlapped.

Then I spritzed the paper with water triggering the Oxide reaction.

The last step was to lay the Mandala Stencil from Stencil Pack One over my paper. I then used my VersaMark ink pad and applied ink. Then I removed the stencil and applied White Embossing Powder and heat set.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto LAUREN MOORE’s Blog where you will find some additional artwork!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought and happy hopping!

Happy Crafting!
