Technique Hop – “Back to the Basics!”

Welcome to the Technique Blog Hop!

This month we are focusing on going back to the basics.   There are so many basic stamp techniques that we often forget about such as rock & roll technique, random stamping, masking, and second generation just to name a few. This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork. If you are coming from DARLYS RECKER’S Blog, you are on the right track! If you get lost you can find a full list of participants HERE.

I thought I would showcase Random Stamping. This is a great way to make your own pattern papers. The trick is to think about stamping in a triangle when stamp the images.

I used the moon, stars and clouds from the  Fa-Boo-lous Halloween stamp set and thin cuts. I used the new Tri Blend Spectum Noir markers to color the witch and make her striped leggings.

I used some Black shimmer trim behind the Lagoon stamped sentiment. I also used the Black Shimmer Brush to fill in the larger star. I also used Diamond Stickles to fill in the moons.

On the inside of the card I used the masking technique. To do this technique you use a Post-it note or tape to cover a portion of the stamped image. Then ink the stamp, remove the tape or Post-it and stamp on paper.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto MAZ WOOD’S BLOG where you will find some additional artwork!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought and happy hopping!

Happy Crafting!
