If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.   For this hop we have about 20 consultants participating and you are going to see some fabulous artwork.

I tried to think of new ways to use this special. Here is what I came up with…

For my fall card I to cut down the squares to make it look like a shaker. I used the leaves from the Give Thanks stamp set. I used the binder clip cut to stamp the sentiment. The letters and binder clip stamp are from the Give Thanks stamp set. I stamped the letters using Versamark and then used Copper Embossing powder. I used Paprika and Hawthorn for the base. I added a bit of the Sangria Ribbon. The outdoor sky effect was accomplished by sponging Carolina and Pebble inks onto Daisy White.

I wanted to create another window type scene and use our new Create with Creativity Cricut Collection. I used the folded trees and the tis the season cuts. I copied an idea from Miss. Carrie’s Creations, she used the cut as a stencil. I did the same and sponged Bluebird and Carolina inks on Daisy White Cardstock. I then used the Stitched Rectangle Thin cut to cut out the sponged image. I added a bit of gold with the Stickles on the stars and in the circles on the trees. I also added a bit of Gold Embellishing Thread to the clip.

Greens proved to be hard for me. I sat there looking at this for a while then had an inspiration.

I went with the Every Little Thing Paper pack. I used the new color Evergreen as the base page. I then used the cut panels using the evergreen pattern paper from Every Little Thing Paper pack. I used the fun binder clip thin cut which is part of this months National Stamping Months Special ~ Share the Seasons. I added the sentiment from this months Stamp of the Month ~ Random Acts of Cardness. I added a bit of bling with some Stickles. I used the White Ribbon and the butterfly from Every Little Thing Complements.

Sympathy Card

Earlier this month my Aunt and Uncle lost their horse. She was 31 1/2 years old and had been theirs for 26 of those years. I know loosing a family member is always hard so I wanted to create a special sympathy card for them.

I used a retired woodgrain paper for the base. I then stamped the horse which is from Homegrown Stamp Set (also retired). I used my water colors to water color the horse and background. I matted it on Evergreen cardstock and added a bit of retired Whisper twine.

Welcome to another weekly challenge with Heart 2 Heart!

This weeks challenge is a fun one. The little things can be anything that is important to you or makes you happy! We also have a brand new paper pack called Every Little Thing which is fun colorful paper pack. I decided to use the Picture My Life cards from the Every Little Thing to make some cards.

With this card I used this months Stamp of the Month ~ Random Act of Cardness. I used Black Pigment ink and then heat embossed with Clear embossing powder. The butterfly if from Every Little Thing Velum. I used the Wisteria and Julep shimmer brushes to color the butterfly. Black cardstock was used as the base.

With this cards Sapphire was used as the base and Julep behind the bird. I used the beautiful velvet Julep ribbon and Julep Gems for accents.

I used Mint for the base. The bird is also from the Every Little Thing Velum. I used our new markers to color the bird. I used clear sequins from the Loose Silver Sequins. The Wisteria ribbon is also one of our new items.

I used Evergreen for the base. I stamped the Thanks from Say it in Style stamp set. I used the Black Pigment ink and then heat embossed with Clear embossing powder. For an extra touch I used the Wisteria ribbon and then went over the flowers with the Wisteria Shimmer brush.

Here I used a bit of the Every Little Thing paper pack. Used black cardstock along with the Wisteria ribbon and Julep Gems for accents.

With this card I used Wisteria as the base and then used a strip of one of the Every Little Thing paper pack. I added the Silver Embellishing Thread and a few Loose Silver Sequins.

Technique Hop – “It’s in the Script!”

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!

This month we are focusing on It’s in the Script.   With the release of our the idea book came a brand new product line ~ Melissa Eplsin penmanship guide and her own stamp sets!!  I have always wanted to learn how to do cool penmanship as like most people, I am super critical of my own. While I have great intentions to practice with this guide, I have now made the time that I have wanted. Now that my son is back in school I should be able to find the time. This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork. If you are coming from DARLYS RECKER’S Blog, you are on the right track! If you get lost you can find a full list of participants HERE.

I made a card about a month ago using the cool chevron technique that Close to My Heart shared. You can find my original card HERE along with the link to what Close to My Heart shared. I had a lot of the zig-zags left over so I cut a few new colors with Goldrush, Green Apple and Lemonade to make it more Halloween inspired. I then used the Months by Melissa Esplin stamp set to stamp October. I used Black Pigment Ink and then used Clear Embossing powder. The hat is from Fa-Boo-lous Halloween stamp set and thin cuts. I added a bit of bling with Silver Stickles on the buckle of the hat and a few loose Silver Sequins.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto LAUREN MOORE’S BLOG where you will find some additional artwork!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought and happy hopping!

Heart 2 Heart ~ Mixed Fonts

Welcome to another weekly challenge with Heart 2 Heart!

This weeks challenge is Mixed Font! You can create something using a combination of fonts. What a fun challenge! Just remember you must include one Close to My Heart product in your project.

I used a combination of font for this card. For starters I used the Seasonal Mix-in Paper pack for the base of the card. The second group of fonts is for the sentiment which is from this month’s Stamp of the Month – Random Acts fo Cardness. I also mixed in a little of the Every Little Thing Paper Pack. I love the new Wisteria color and the Wisteria Ribbon. I also love the Heart Patterns Stamp set and how they coordinate with the Stitched Heart Thin Cuts. And I could not resist making a shaker card since I am a wee bit addicted.

Now it is your time to give it a try and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until September 30th to participate in this challenge. We love to see your inspirations!!

New Idea Book ~ September/October

You will be hopping with the same talented consultants who bring you the Stamp of the Month blog hop. For this hop we are featuring artwork which showcases our NEW SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER Idea Book. I am sure you will find a wide variety of inspirations on this hop.

If you are just arriving here from JUDY FAYE GARNER’S Blog, or just starting at my blog then you are on the right track ~ Welcome!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.   For this hop we have about 20 consultants participating and you are going to see some fabulous artwork.

I had so much fun playing with the Perk Up Stamp and Thin Cuts. This is one of my favorites stamp sets!!!! Here is a few cards using some fall colors.

This was the first one I created. I used the Toffee, Saffron, Sangria, and Sapphire ink and random stamped the coffee rings from the Perk Up Stamp and Thin Cuts. I used Hawthorn paper pack for the sleeve on the Sapphire cup. I also added the beautiful sangria ribbon but since it is too thick I cut it in half and it worked out great.

This was the second one I created using Almond, Goldrush, Peacock and Espresso colors. I used my Espresso Pigment ink for the stamped images. I used the Perk Up Stamp and Thin Cuts and Autumn Blessing Stamp and Thin Cuts. I used my watercolor paints to add the splatter to the French Vanilla cardstock. I also played with the Build a Plaid Stamp Set to create the plaid behind the coffee cup.

My final card is the same design idea as the first, but uses the Hawthorn paper pack for the base. I featured Sangria, Saffron, Black, Pebble and French Vanilla. I used Mink Twine in place of the Sangria Ribbon.
