Color Dare #347 ~ Blues

Welcome to another week of Color Dare!  This week we have a good one for you.  This weeks challenge is BLUES!  You can use up to two neutrals and BLACK & WHITES are free.

With Father’s Day this weekend I figured a Father’s Day card was in order.

Here is the inside of the card.

I made this card for my husband.  I used Mink cardstock for the base.  I stamped it with the sentiment then used the Subway Tile embossing folder and embossed the top 3 inches.  I used the Into the Wild paper pack and the retired Blue Burlap Ribbon.  I also used Black & White Dots on the cover and the Star Thin cuts on the inside.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~ Color Dare #347 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Happy Crafting!

  1. This is a great Father’s Day card. I love the tile embossing with the banners. This is one of my favorite card patterns. Love the range of blues you used, too.

  2. Love the embossed brick background and the choice of papers from Into the Wild – I really need to break out that paper pack! This pattern is so flexible for many purposes – good use of it here 🙂

  3. Very nice masculine card, and the selection of design papers for the banners is very handsome too.

  4. Great layout…hehehe! I love the texture on top with the subway tile folder…sticking that in my things to try folder!

  5. Great masculine card, Cat! The banners are a good way to bring in the blue tones and the embossed brickwork gives the right amount of texture. Great way to remind husband that you are thinking of him.
