Make the Cut! ~ Technique Blog Hop

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!

This month we are focusing on Making the Cut.  What do we mean by Make the Cut?  Well, Close to My Heart has lots of  fantastic Thin Cuts and our exclusive Cricut cartridges which make wonderful cuts.  There are around 10 of us participating in the Make the Cut Hop.  This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork. If you are coming from KRISTA HERSHBERGER’S Blog, you are on the right track!

For my project I used both Cricut and Thin Cuts.

So the flower pot is cut using the Flower Market Cartridge.  I modified it by adding a cut line to allow the White Daisy cardstock to be inserted.  If you are interested in my cut file you can find it HERE.

I used Nectarine cardstock for the pot with the lighter side for the rim.  The flowers were cut using the Stitched Flower Thin Cuts.  I used Smoothie and Fern cardstock and Sweet Girl paper pack.  I used the Fancy Tag Thin Cuts for the tag and used the Wild and Punny Stamp Set for the “thanks”.  I also used the White Burlap Ribbon and Rose Sequins.

    So creative and so cute!

  11. I’m not sure which I enjoy more on these Hops: the variety of products used, or the variety of ways the same product is used by current consultants…they’re all so different!

  12. I LOVE your card! I can’t wait to try one myself.
