Color Dare #334 ~ Love of Color

Welcome to another week of Color Dare!  This week we are doing another Love of Color challenge.  We have chosen a color pallet for you with six colors.  How to play… you will design something using at least 3 of these colors. Please note Browns and Whites are free but no other colors.

I chose to use Lilac, Sweet Leaf, Peach, Almond, Gold and Brown.

Budding Peonys ~ Close to My Heart ~ CTMH ~ Swiss Dots ~ Happy birthday ~ thin cuts ~ catscrapbooking ~ Color dareI used Brown Momento ink to stamp the Budding Peony stamp set and Thin Cuts. I then used reinker to watercolor the flowers and leaves. I added a couple of drops of Sweet Leaf and Peach reinker to one of my block and then used a watercolor brush to apply the color. I used the Swiss Dot embossing folder on the lilac cardstock.  I then used cloud shaped die from the Decorative Border Thin Cuts.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~ Color Dare #334 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Happy Crafting!

Cat signature

  1. Love the scalloped border and polka-dot edge and gorgeous layout with the floral.

  2. Cat this is one of the prettiest cards I’ve ever seen! Your coloring of the flowers is perfect! The embossed layer and die cut scallop add so much to the look.

  3. This card is visually stunning. Stamping in brown before watercolour painting is such a nice touch it just adds that hint of subtlety to it. Embossing and Thin cutting are awesome!
