Color Dare #331 ~ Brown and White with a Splash of Color

Welcome to another week of Color Dare!  This week we are challenging you to use BROWN and WHITE with a splash of one other color.  NO OTHER COLORS are permitted.

I decided to use Kraft, White and Sugarplum.

I designed a gate fold card using Kraft as my base.  I used and embossing folder to add a bit of texture to the card base.  The flowers were created using the fringe Thin Cut from the Decorative Border set.  I used one strip of white with three strips of the sugarplum for the larger flowers and two for the smallest flower. I used one of the tags from the Fancy Tag Thin Cuts.

I used the Love Blossoms Stamp set for the sentiment and added a few Sugarplum Glitter Gems.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~ Color Dare #331 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Happy Crafting!

  1. Cat this is a very pretty card! Those flowers are great against the dry embosses background. Love it!

  2. I haven’t used that fringe cut yet – love those flowers and I am definitely going to try that! The embossed detail on the Kraft background adds just the right detail. Great card!

  3. Great design and selection for a gatefold card and love how you used one of the flower die-cuts as a clasp for your sentiment panel, and like the embossed background on the kraft.
