Color Dare #200 ~ Ruby, Sapphire and Colonial White

Welcome to this weeks Color My Heart Color Challenge!  This week for Color Dare #200 we are challenging you to combine RUBY, SAPPHIRE, and COLONIAL WHITE.  This is a big week for us as it is our 200th challenge!!! WOO HOO!!!

Color Dare #200

Since this is such a special Color Dare we are going to invite the Diamond Award Winner for challenge #200 to select colors for a future Color Dare challenge. Sounds like fun, doesn’t it?

There are so many terrific Close to My Heart paper products available the Design Team has decided to gift one (or maybe more) lucky winner(s) a choice of one CTMH paper packet from the current Annual Inspirations catalog, upcoming Annual Inspirations catalog or upcoming Holiday Expressions catalog. In order to be eligible for a random draw you must leave a comment on EACH of our Design Team (DT) members blog posts for Color Dare #200. There will be one prize awarded for each 10 people who comment on all DT entries so if there are 20 people who comment on all DT entries there will be 2 prizes awarded and if there are 30 people who comment on all DT entries there will be 3 prizes awarded. You will need to click on each DT member’s name to get to her blog to leave a comment. Although it is not required to win a prize this week we would love to see what you can create with our challenge colors.

I joined the Color Dare Design team in September of 2014.  It was a crazy time for me as we moved Labor Day weekend from Spokane WA to Arvada CO.  I have really loved being on the design team as it challenges me to be creative and stay with in the rules.  There are so many time I have a great idea but realize it oh that will not work as I cant use a particular color and I must work through it.  It has been fun to come up with new ideas to use colors that I many not usually combine.  I also LOVE seeing all the wonderful creations that my fellow Design Team members come up with as well as our wonderful participants.Color Dare #200 ~ Celebrate Card ~ stars & stripes ~ CatScrapbooking.com
For this card I cut 1″strips with the Sapphire and Ruby.  I designed my own overlay using my Cricut.  I started with two stars from basic shape and slice them so I had an outline.  Next I copied the star shape b bunch of times to create the star overlay then welded them together.  I used the Firework Fun D1689 for the celebrate and stars.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~ Color Dare #200 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday July 7, 2016 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Happy Crafting!
