I have been working on my on my personal challenge of designing a layout every week so I knew I would do a layout and I just happen to have some Easter photos that needed to be scrapbooked.

Easter Layout ~ Penelope ~ Spring Critters ~ Overlays ~ CatScrapbooking.comI knew the Penelope paper would be perfect for my Easter layout.  Here is a closer look at each side.  I apologize but the Honey color looks off to me and I just could not get right.

Easter Layout left ~ Penelope ~ Spring Critters ~ Overlays ~ CatScrapbooking.comFor the left side I used one of the white overlays and trimmed it to go over the lower right photo.  I used the Artbooking cartrige to cut the photo frame and backed it with silver glitter paper.  I had to to use that adorable fox with the Spring Critter stamp set since my son’s Easter basket was a fox.

Easter Layout right ~ Penelope ~ Spring Critters ~ Overlays ~ CatScrapbooking.comHere is the right side, I also used one of the white overlay on the upper right photo.

Everything ABC’s ~ Letter C

Welcome to the Everything ABC’s Blog Hop!!!

ABC's Blog BadgeThis week we will be featuring the letter “C”.  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever the crafter has chosen as their “C” element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, welcome!  If you just hopped here from DONNA LONG’S Blog then you are in the right place.   The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants at the bottom of this post.

For my letter “C” I decided to scrapbook a layout of one of our trips to the COLORADO Rail Road Museum on CHRISTMAS Eve which includes a COUPLE photos of a CABOOSE.  I COMBINED two paper packs, Urban and the CRANBERRY B&T from Jubilee (retired) along with COLONIAL white CARDSTOCK.  What is interesting is the paper from Jubilee and one of the Urban papers have a CRACKLE appearance. I also used my CRICUT to cut the title and RR signs.  Okay I know enough with the “C” words here is my layout.

La Vie En Rose Valentine’s Day Cards

I was playing around with the adorable La Vie En Rose Complements and all those clear plastic hearts gave me an inspiration.  What if they were falling out of a jar, more specifically the cut jar on the Artistry Cartridge #M40FB6F.

La Vie En Rose ~ Jar of Hearts ~ Love you ~ I loved this idea so much I decided to make some more hearts with my Explore.  I used the heart from the jar.  I hid the contour lines of the jar, so it only left the heart.  I then used the circle basic shape and sized it larger than the heart.  I centered the heart over the circle and highlighted both.  Then using the slice tool I crated a heart in a circle.  I used the negative heart as well as the circle heart to make this version.

La Vie En Rose Herringbone Card

I really like the La Vie En Rose paper pack as five of the B&T papers are black and white.  So there are so many options with this paper.  I have to admit that the black and white with reds really pop.  I decided to use the black and white patterns to make a herringbone design. Here is my card.

La Vie En Rose ~ Herringbone ~ Fundamentals Assortment ~ CatScrapbooking.comThe strips are are 1/2 inch in width. I started with the polk-a-dot which is in the “middle” running left to right.  I then added polk-a-dot strips which run up and down.  Then started adding the other strips.  For the sentiment I used one of the Artistry stamp Love Right Now, but instead of cutting the oval at the recommended 1.75″ I cut it at 1.95″.

Color Dare #177 ~ White, Whisper, Peacock & Crystal Blue

Welcome to this weeks Color My Heart Color Challenge!  This week for Color Dare #177 we are featuring  WHITE DAISY, WHISPER, PEACOCK & CRYSTAL BLUE.

Color Dare 177I love the blues and tried to come up with something which would look great as blues.  Since I have a little boy my thought gravitate to him.  I was looking thorough my Artfully Sent Cricut booklet for boy ideas when I came to page 28 and inspiration took over.

Space ship ~ Outta this world ~ Color Dare 177 ~ Artfully Sent ~ Boy Card ~ CatScrapbooking.comTo create this card I used images #MCBA98 and #M100BC3 from Artfully Sent.  I did this in Design Space and manipulated the cut lines to cut the parts of the images I wanted with out having to cut the full image and only use a part (as I hate to waste my precious paper 🙂 ).

Here is the full list of supplies used:

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~ Color Dare #177 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday January 28, 2016 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Charlotte Layout ~ Springtime Wishes ~ Puffies ~ CatScrapbooking@gmail.comSo two years ago we went on a week vacation to Florida which was a series of interesting events.  On the way down we missed our connection so we had to spend the night in a hotel which was not that bad since the airline paid for it but when traveling with a 2 year old you only carry on extra clothes for him.  We finally arrived and it was a beautiful day.  The next day that all changed as it rained no let me rephrase it was a MONSOON!!  For the next 5 days it rained.  But we made the best of it but it was tough being trapped in a house with 4 little boys.

For this layout I used the following product:

Now it is time to move onto your next stop on the hop, which is  LAUREN MOORE’S Blog, so hop on over and see what wonderful creation she has for you today.

My Layout Challenge #2

So if you missed my first post last week, I made a resolution to complete a scrapbook layout a week at minimum.  I have been off to a great start as I have actually completed more but that was the point :-).  I have a few page kits that I have had hanging around for a while now.  I decided I would complete one of these.

All the trimmings ~ Scrapbook fun addicts ~ Holiday layout ~ CatScrapbooking.comI had fun assembling this and having most of the thinking done for me but I also really enjoy the creative part.  This kit was one I purchased 3 years ago but I have been holding on to.  It was designed by Scrapbook Fun Addict.  I am happy my piles are dwindling so my resolution if working!!
