Color Dare #175 ~ Glacier, White and Silver

Welcome to this weeks Color My Heart Color Challenge!  This week for Color Dare #175 we are featuring  GLACIER, WHITE DAISY & SILVER.

Color Dare #175When I saw these colors the first thing that came to mind was snowflakes.

Color Dare #175 ~ Glacier, Silver & White ~ Artbooking ~ Snowflakes ~ CatScrapbooking.comI used Rectangle Snowflakes #M3CF6D  from the Artbooking cartridge.  I sized it so it was 4″ high then using a basic square which I turned into a rectangle 4″ X 5.25″, I sliced the two shapes to create my 4″x5.25″ snowflake piece.  I then used Silver foil tape, Silver Glitter Paper and Glacier to back the circles and snowflakes on the card base then glued the overlay down.

Here is the full list of products used:

  1. I LOVE this card. The snowflake cut outs with the color behind is awesome.

  2. Love your card Cat. I have tried a couple snowflake die-cuts and they were both square and to change their dimension to a rectangle they always got distorted. So I thought I would try your method of slicing…I have saved on cricut now the square I made to rectangle and the snowflake die with height of 4″…now I’m stuck. How do you slice, I can see what snowflakes you used for the card, but have never tried slicing. Help.

    • Are you using Cricut Design Space? Once you line up the rectangle & square you highlight both then you should be able to slice the images. Then separate the parts.

  3. Great card! Love the sequins and the twine is a great touch.

  4. Beautiful card, Cat! I love your assortment of snowflakes and sizes. The sequins are a nice touch too! Thanks for inspiring us yet again!
    🙂 Marie

  5. I love the layers, and it’s so clever to use the negatives!

  6. Wow, Cat! What a great way to show the versatility of the Artbooking Cartridge in your beautiful card!

  7. Fun card, Cat. And I have to tell you that I am in awe of your dedication to gluing on those teeny, tiny snowflake cut outs!
