When I sat down to design my project I was looking for inspiration and saw the Mojo Monday sketch #  and that triggered my creative juices.  I knew I needed to design a Valentine’s Day card for my husband and the ” you are”, the “so” and the “awesome” from this stamp set would be perfect.  So here is my creation:

Your the Bomb, Heartstrings ~

Here is the inside of the card.

Your the Bomb, Heartstrings inside

For this card I used the following products:

  • Heart Embossing Folder Z3018
  • Cardstock ~ Hollyhock, Lagoon and White Daisy

Valentines using EOS

Have you discovered the cute egg shaped lip balms called EOS?  I have been seeing them everywhere and there are a lot of knock offs too.   I purchased one for my son as I thought it would be easy for him to use and flavored.  It was a hit so I was then hooked.  Then I saw where people were designing cute gifts using these little eggs.  There are a bunch on Pinterest for Christmas gifts and I have been seeing some for Valentines.  So I decided this would be the perfect valentines gift for my son’s teachers.

Fox EOS Valentine ~ Catscrapbooking.comI just love foxes, so I knew this design would be prefect. This with a Silhouette image which I modified.  I added an oval to the heart to accommodate the EOS.  Since I was giving this as a gift to someone I did not want to open the package like most people do, so instead of using a 1.5 inch circle, I used an oval which was 1.982 inches wide and 2.287 inches tall.  This worked out great!  I used Close to My Heart cardstock ~ White Daisy, Ruby, Goldfish and Black to make the fox and heart.  I did cut a second heart which does not have the oval for the back piece. The bow was cut from some scraps of paper I had.  Isn’t this just so adorable??? Sorry I think it is stinking cute and I hope his teachers will think it is cute too.  Stay tuned for a couple more EOS as I designed one for each of my boys and will post in a couple of days.

Happy Crafting!

February Stamp of the Month

I really like this months Stamp of the Month.  It is a very versatile stamp set. Take a look for yourself:

I designed a card using this stamp set which I really liked and you can find HERE.  I knew the shapes could be really cool on a layout in a geometric way.  One of the wonderful things about this stamp set was there are multiple ways to layer these stamps to create great designs.  I had a crafting inspiration after seeing a wonderful card designed by Wendy Coffman.  This inspired me to create this layout.

A Happy Hello Layout ~ catscrapbooking

For this layout I was looking for particular colors so I pulled two retired paper packs ~ Pemberly and Flirty for my pattern paper;   asI was focusing on the orange and blues.

Here is a list of supplies I used to complete this project:

  • Paper Pack ~ Pemberly (retired) and Flirty (retired)
  • Cardstock ~ Colonial White, Goldfish and Outdoor Denim
  • Inks ~ Goldrush, Indian Corn Blue, Outdoor Denim and Topiary
  • Embellishments ~ Green and Blue Epoxy Bubbles

I hope you find this layout as an inspiration for you pages.

Happy Crafting!
