Color Dare #473 ~ Tic-Tac-Toe Wonderland

Welcome to Color Dare #473! This week we have a Tic Tac Toe board featuring the colors of the Wonderland papers. How this works is choose a row, column or diagonal. You can add in the other colors as long as they are on the board. Black and White are free.

I went with the first column ~ Wisteria, Mulberry, and Rosemary.

I used the Honey Bee Stamps Fancy Snowflakes to create the background. I pulled the sentiment from a retired stamp set ~ Animated Holiday Cheer. The circle is one that was cut with our circle thin cuts. I added a few bitty sparkles and Clear Sparkles to add a bit of bling.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~  Color Dare #473 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page. For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

I love these owls! I decided to make a shaker with a winter theme in mind. I planned to use the snowflake sequins that I purchased but I seemed to have lost them in my craft room. I remember when I was taking them out of the box I dropped them then got pulled away. Well wouldn’t you know when I came back to find them …. I couldn’t. So you make do.

I used the Wonderland papers to cut the cover with the Curved Rectangle Frame Thin Cut. I colored the owl with my markers and my silver metallic marker. Since I couldn’t find my snowflakes, I used my Silver Sequins.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of DECEMBER. If you are a member of the Close To My Heart VIP program and you place a qualifying order of $50 in the US, you will get the stamp for FREE!! Here is the Christmas card using the adorable flamingo patterned Christmas paper. I used Clover cardstock for the base and for band. I stamped the Merry Christmas from the For All Occasions stamp set. I used Red Pigment Ink and Clear Embossing Powder. I added a strip of Clover Shimmer trim. I cut the gift with my Cricut using Ballerina and Raspberry cardstock. I added a couple of dots with the White Opal Liquid Pearls.

I used the fun leaf paper to make a tropical birthday card. The sentiment is form the Embroidered Card Front stamp set. I used Mint cardstock for the base and sentiment. The hibiscus were cut using my Cricut with Avocado, Raspberry, Lemonade, and Ballerina cardstock. I used the Clover Shimmer trim and a little bit of White Opal Liquid Pearls.

Color Dare #471 ~ Triple Play plus One

Welcome to another week with Color Dare! This week we are challenging you to use Black, Gray, and White plus one other color.

I went with Red as my plus one color. I also couldn’t do just one…

I used the Winter Prism dies from Honey Bee Stamps for the background of each card and just changed up the colors.

For this one I cut the three winter prism layers with Black, Pewter, and White. I cut the Candy Apple Snowflake using the thin cuts from the the Floral Snowflake Stamp and Thin Cuts. I the used my White Gloss Spray to splatter the snowflake before adding the sentiment. The sentiment is also from Honey Bee Stamps and is the Holiday Bitty Buzzwords. I used White Embossing Powder and VersaMark Ink for the sentiment.

For this one I used Scarlet and both sides of Candy Apple. I used Pewter for the snowflake and splattered Black Shimmer brush on the snowflake. The Christmas was backed in Vellum.

For this third card, I used White, Black, and Pewter for the layers of the Winter Prism dies. I splattered this white snowflakes with my Red Shimmer brush. I cut the sentiment using Candy Apple cardstock and the Joy Thin Cut.

I love the way these turned out that I may need to make a bunch more. Let me know which is your favorite.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~  Color Dare #471 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page. I have been needing to do a few snow layouts and had been struggling to find the right papers until now with Wonderland. I used Make it from Your Heart Volume 3 pattern 6 for this layout.

I used Charcoal for the base page. I did bring in Blue Bell Shimmer trim as it worked so well with these colors. I also used the Floral Snowflake Stamp and Thin Cuts. The SKi Day was cut using my Cricut and I found the images with my subscription. I did splatter Mint and Sapphire Shimmer brushes on the White cardstock behind the title. I added a couple of White Dots and some Silver Embellishing Thread.

I used the negative effect for the journalling area by cutting the large Snowflake from the Floral Snowflake Stamp and Thin Cuts. I cut the date tab with the Tab Thin Cuts and wrote the date with my White Gel Pens.

Color Dare #469 ~ Love of Color

Happy Friday!! I don’t know about you but my live feels like it is on warp speed. Anyway welcome to another Color Dare Challenge. This week we have a Love of Color Challenge for #469. For this challenge pick at least three of the colors ~ Wisteria, Ballerina, Lagoon, Bluebird, Lemonade, and Sage. You can add in Black, White and Grey or Silver for FREE.

I chose to go with Lagoon, Bluebird and Sage.

For this card I used the Celebration Alphabet. I used the solid letters and aligned them in my Mysti so, I could simply move the cardstock after each color. I then pulled the stamp set from the Stars & Sparklers Cardmaking Workshop which has retired. I added a bit of Mink Twine to the balloons. I cut the Happy with a set of dies from my stash by Honey Bee. I used vellum and black cardstock. I used Mink cardstock as the base.

November SOTM – Created to Shine Blog Hop

Welcome to the November SOTM blog hop!

If you are coming here from MY HEARTFELT SENTIMENTS , then you are in the right spot ~ Welcome!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating Makers on Melinda’s blog HERE, we have about 10 Makers on this hop.

I did a bit of masking to create this card but I am happy with the way it turned out.

So to create this card, I stamped the image on two separate sheets of Daisy White. The first one I cut out the centers of the lights and used it as a mask to add color to the light bulbs. I used Peacock Feathers, Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserve, Chipped Sapphire and Spiced Marmalade oxide inks. After coloring the bulbs, I used washi tape to mask off the glow lines and add the color. I them masked the sentiment “created to shine” and only used the “shine”. I stamped with black pigment ink and used Clear Embossing power. I used the Stitched rectangles to cut the Daisy White and then matted on Black cardstock. I then added a bit of shine by adding Diamond Stickles around the bulbs.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of NOVEMBER. If you are a member of the Close To My Heart VIP program and you place a qualifying order of $50 in the US, you will get the stamp for FREE!!
