I really love all of the paper lines in the new idea book. I only wish I had more time to work on my scrapbooks. I guess this is a common wish of all scrapbookers. I was looking at the Sarita paper pack and though it would be ideal for some photos I took last year from our trip to New Orleans to visit family last year.
I will walk you through the steps I generally take when I am going to scrapbook. I start with picking and editing the photos. I then pick the papers I want to use with the photos. My next step is to look for a layout inspiration. I love the Close To My Heart how to books as these are always great stepping off point. For this particular layout I was looking at the Make it From Your Heart Volume 2. I will look at the Quick Reference and look for a layout that will work with the number of photos I have. In this case there were 5 photos and the layout 10 on page 24 looked perfect. I then set out to design my layout.
I used the awesome new stitch guide to mark my holes ant then went back with floss to add the stitching. I have to be honest in saying this was time consuming and not something I will do on every layout but I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out!
I used the Sarita My Stickease Assortment to add additional details.
I have to be honest I did not realize until after I had completed my layout that this was the same layout that was chosen for the Sarita Workshop on the Go. I guess great creative minds think alike. So here is another variation of the WOTG.
