Beloved BouquetI love these flowers!!! They are so cool as you have the double stamped images.  Not to mention the sentiments are fabulous too.  I played around with this card and created three variations.

Beloved Bouquet Gypsy & Thistle ~ Sympathy Card ~ La Vie En Rose ~ CatScrapbooking.comThis one combines the Thistle and Gypsy flowers.  I stamped the base layer with second generation ink then the detail is in the same ink but full strength.  Did you notice the fab ribbon??? Black with the gold??? This is one of the hot new products you will find in the Seasonal Expression Idea book.

Beloved Bouquet Gypsy ~ Sympathy Card ~ La Vie En Rose ~ CatScrapbooking.comThis is the same card as above but only using the Gypsy flowers.

Beloved Bouquet Thistle ~ Sympathy Card ~ La Vie En Rose ~ CatScrapbooking.comFor this card I used Thistle for all the flowers and added the Purple Shimmer trim instead of the ribbon.

ABC’s Blog Hop ~ M

ABC's Blog Hop

Welcome to the Everything ABC’s Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter “M”.  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever the crafter has chosen as their “M” element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at  LINDA’S BLOG ~ SCRAPPY THERAPY

If you came from LINDA’S BLOG ~ SCRAPPY THERAPY then you’re on the right track!

For my “M” element I am using a mask to design my own pattern paper.  I have has these Tattered Angels Glimmer Screens since 2010; however, I have never used them until now.  Yes I will admit I am a hoarder of sorts when it comes to scrapbooking supplies.  Isn’t that the way things are done :-).  Well it is the way I do things – I see something cool  so I purchase it, then tuck it away and forget to use it.  Well I recently did a major clean out and found them so I decided it was time to try them out.  So Mask was my primary “M” element but I also used Mirror as I used the mirror image.

I used the Close to My Heart Spray Pins and added some water, Pearl Paint and Sweat Leaf Re-Inker.   I laid the Glimmer Screen on my white cardstock and spritz.  Once I had the desired saturation I laid another piece of white cardstock over the Glimmer Screen and rubbed gently.  This top piece of paper took up the over-spray which was on the Glimmer Screen which resulted in the mirror image of the ink covering the Glimmer Screen.

Masking Technique_4466bIn this photo you see the cardstock I laid on top of the screen on the left, the cardstock which was spritz with the spray pin with the screen in place in the middle ans on the right you can make out the Glimmer screen.

I then added a couple of flowers I cut using my silhouette with the Chantilly paper pack.  For the Sweet Leaf card base I used the lighter patten paper with Blush cardstock and for the Cotton Candy card base I used Cotton candy with the darker pink pattern paper to crate the flowers.  For the center of the flowers I used some brads from Micheal’s but added our Pink Glitter Gems as well as using them for interest on the the card.  The sentiment is from For Every Occasions D1184 which has been retired.

March Card Workshop

Every month I hold a workshop where you can come complete a scrapbook layout which is usually the layout I feature on the Roxybond Scrapper Team Blog Hop. But I also have a card workshop that same night.  I really had no idea I would enjoy making cards as much as I have.  I keep finding all these cool techniques.  So my challenge to myself is to try at least one new technique for the workshop.  This way I learn something new and so do the participants.  This months new technique is Iris Fold Card.  I have been seeing them all over Pinterest, so I took the plunge.

Since Easter is just around the corner and CTMH has a very cute Easter Wishes stamp set, I could not resist.  I actually thought this stamp set would work as a slider style card.  Here is the end result:

For this next card I was also inspired by Pinterest.  I had seen these woven cards and realized it was actually a die by Simon Says Stamp.

And my last workshop card was also Pinterest inspired (HaightMark Scrapbooking) using the Later Sk8r paper and Perfect fit birthday stamp set.
