Thank You Cards

I was needing a bunch of thank you cards. I found a cute card on Pinterest and scrap lifted it. Here is my take on the card.

Love the bright stripes and they make such fun happy thank you cards.  The prickly pear on left uses Sea Glass, Blossom, Lemon, Sapphire and Tangerine.  The Little Dreamer uses Glacier, Lemon, Thistle, and Tangerine.

Thank You Cards

I needed to create some thank you cards so I decided to play around with our new oval thin cut and the corresponding Scripty Thank you stamp A1206.

This one uses the Little Dreamer paper pack.

For this card I used the now retired paper pack Hello Lovely. I used the gold shimmer brush the thank you to give it a bit of glitter.  Here is a close up:

Well one of the things I have been consumed by recently is my son’s fifth birthday. This year he wanted TEENAGE Mutant Ninja TURTLE as the THEME.  I was able to create some things for the party this year but not as much as in the past.

gift-bags-teenage-mutant-ninja-turtle-birthday-catscrapbooking-com

For the gift bags we made numb chucks out of pool noodles, black duck tape, black nylon cord and 3/4″ pvc pipe ends.  The kids thought they were so fun!ninja-pizza-toss-teenage-mutant-ninja-birthday-catscrapbooking-com

For one of the game I painted an open mouth Micky on a large box and then turned small frisbees into mini pizzas that they could toss into the open mouth.teenage-mutant-ninja-turtle-thank-you-cards-ninja-turtle-birthday-catscrapbooking-comSince I did not get time to create invitations I knew I needed to make the THANK you notes.  These were simple to create.

Now it is time to hop on over to LAUREN MOORE’S BLOG and see what she has created for you today.

Color Dare #205 ~ Flower Market ~ Thank you card ~ CatScrapbooking.comI decided the white was too much for the background so I watercolored the cardstock to match the Juniper. Love the way this turned out and it took no time!!! I did have to bust out my new Shimmer Brush Z3293 I used it in the centers of the flowers.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~ Color Dare #205 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday July 28, 2016 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Thank You Gift Card Set

Do you follow CTMH on Instagram?  Well a couple of weeks ago they showed a technique of using spray pens to color a Cricut cut sentiment.  Well I loved it and could not wait to try it.  Here are my cards.

Thank you card sets ~ catscrapbooking.comFor this set I used Pear, Lagoon and Smoothie reinkers mixed with rubbing alcohol as it will dry faster than water.  I used the Quatrafoil, Diamond and Dot embossing folders.  I really love this look so simple but the outcome is fabulous.

Thank you gift card sets 2 ~ CatScrapbooking.comI designed two sets the second one is with Glacier, Flaxen and Thistle reinkers.  I packaged them in sets of 6, two of each of the embossed cards for a great gift card set.

Color Dare #120

Welcome to this weeks Color My Heart Color Challenge #120.  For this week we are featuring Barn Red, Goldrush, Glacier, Olive, and Lagoon.  Which just so happens to be the colors of the Pathfinding paper pack!!

Color Dare #120

I really love the leaves of the Fall Harvest stamp set.  I wanted to try a new way to color them using a technique I had seen using stamp pads, the all purpose mat and a spray pen.  Here is how it works.  the first step is to rub your ink pad onto the shinny side of your CTMH All Purpose mat.  If you do not have an all purpose mat you may be able to do this with a ziplock style bag.  I used one of my spay pens with a little water to spay the inked area.

ink technique ~ catscrapbooking.com

I cut the leaves using my silhouette ~ I created my own cut file.  Then placing the paper or in this case the leaves face down into the ink I was able to create a marbled look.

Ink technique 2 ~ catscrapbooking.com

I then just wiped the mat with a baby wipe and the ink is all cleaned up.  I then flipped the mat over and using my craft heater I dried the leaves so I could stamp them in Chocolate.  I really like the way they turned out.

Color Dare 120 ~ Catscrapbooking.comYou are getting a sneak peek at one of the new hostess stamp sets from the Seasonal Expression which goes live next month!!! It is the Thank you stamp.

Supplies used for this card:

  • Paper pack ~ Pathfinding
  • Cardstock ~ Chocolate and Colonial White
  • Ink ~ Chocolate, Barn Red, Goldrush, Olive and Olive
  • Stamp Sets ~ Fall Harvest C1504 and Variety of Thanks B1471 (hostess exclusive available starting Dec 1)
  • Embellishments~ Gold Sequins Z2012, Teal Shimmer trim Z1918, Twine and button from stash.

ABC's Blog Hop

Welcome to the Everything ABC’s Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter “F”. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their “F” element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at LINDA’S Blog ~ SCRAPPY THERAPY

If you came from LINDA’S Blog ~ SCRAPPY THERAPY  then you’re on the right track!

For my “F” design element I chose a fire truck.  I am part of a moms club here in Spokane, so we try to organize activities for moms and our kids.  I organized a tour for our club at one of the local fire stations.  The fire fighters were so nice and patient with all the kids.  I wanted to send them a thank you card, so I designed this fire truck card.

ABC's Fire Station Thank you

For this project I used all Close to My Heart Cardstock and my Silhouette to cut the shapes.  I used Cranberry, Honey, Black, Sky, Whisper and Slate.  I used the Embossed Metal Badge Buttons from the Proplayer assortment.  To create the little sparkle for the siren I used the Ruby Shimmer Trim.  The clouds were stamped using the clouds from a retired stamp set Now Departing B1309.

Dream Pop Thank You Cards

For all of you who purchased the Dream Pop paper pack when it was available a few months ago here are a few cards I designed using this paper.  I realized I had used up almost all of my thank you cards so with Christmas here I knew I would need some more.  So when I was looking for inspiration the Dream Pop paper is what called to me.

Dream Pop Thank you card_2

For this card I used a pinwheel die to make the pinwheel.  I used the Juniper Sparkle & Shine Washi tape for the bottom.  The Thank you is from the Banner Wishes B1438 stamp set.  I also incorporated a few of the Aqua dots for some interest.

Dream Pop flower thanks_2

For this card I used my 2″ circle punch to make circles and then positioned those circles back through the punch to make two pedals.  Each circle will make two pedals. I then used the top strip from some of the Dream Pop papers and one of the patterns to make the strip at the bottom of the card. The thank you and circle stamp is from a retired stamp set Tag the Occasion.  Here it are some of the variations I created:
