CTMH Technique Blog Hop – Fabulous Foil

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!  This month there are 10 of us highlighting our FABULOUS FOIL. This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.

If you are coming from HALEY DYER BLOG, you are on the right track!

I love our heavy weight foil cardstock.  It is perfect for embossing and you can even create scored creations using your Cricut.  Here is what I created:

So I took an image from Artbooking Circle Doily. I duplicated the image then hid the contour lines so only was the outer shape.  I then hid some of the contour lines on the other and changed it to a score line image.  I then centered the two and attached them to create this cut/score file . I then used the largest circle die to cut my white circle.  I used the lagoon ink, cardstock, fundamental paper and ribbon (which are part of the Adventure collection).

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto MELISSA ROBINSON’S BLOG where you will find some additional artwork highlighting this technique!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought of my creation and happy hopping!

Technique Blog Hop ~ A Bit of Blot

Welcome to the Technique Blog Hop!10408737_10152825873362934_5451681359892116939_nThis month we are featuring a technique called ~ A Bit of Blot which can be found on page 55 of the Annual Inspirations Idea book.  This technique is fun and easy as there is no wrong way to do it 🙂  This month we have 11 consultants featuring artwork using this technique so you will definitely be inspired.  If you just hopped onto my blog or arrived from SHEILA BENNETT’s Blog then you are in the right place.  This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.

I used a large block and added a bit of Thistle ink using a dauber to the block then spritzed with water using a spray pen then stamped it on my White Daisy Cardstock.  I repeated the technique with Pixie to create my background.  I then used Dizzy Circles stamp set and added a few spirals (I have to say this stamp set reminds me of my childhood with my Spirograph).
