If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.   For this hop we have about 10 consultants participating and you are going to see some fabulous artwork.

I needed to create a couple of Father’s day cards and I really like the Dad you’re rad saying so I wanted to focus on that.  The next thing that came to mind was music and a guitar so that is the way I went.  I used a couple of guitars that are part of my Cricut subscription.

I used my Basic Star Thin Cuts to crate a mask so I could sponge the Crystal Blue stars.

I cut the guitar using Pewter, Sapphire, Chrystal Blue and Black cardstock.  I then added a little of my Clear Shimmer Brush to the Crystal Blue on the guitar. I also added a couple of the Black Dots. Here is a close up.

I then decided to do one with a bit more contrast and added Ruby.

I used a different guitar but followed the same design idea.  I used Linen, Kraft, Sapphire and Black for the guitar.  I did use the Ruby pattern paper from the fundamentals with the diagonal as the base layer, however, it is hard to see in the photo.

As you can see I used the Shimmer Brush again to add so sparkle to the guitar.  For both cards I did use the Rad Dad Stamp set which is only being offered now until the end of June so be sure to purchase yours today!

Your next stop is along this hop is MELINDA EVERITT’S Blog, so hop on over and see what wonderful creations she has for you today.

The Moon

My son loved to go look out for the moon.  He would look out the big picture window in our home and look and point at the moon.  We would even take him outside to see it too.  So i wanted to be sure to document this, and created this layout.

I random stamped the background using Versamark and White Embossing powder with the Constellations Stamp Set. I  used some of the Stargazer pattern papers.

Layout # 32 of My Personal Challenge

I got a little off last week and was not able to get a layout completed.  I am back on track this week with another layout. I got to play with some of the new goodies from the new Annual Inspirations Idea book.

Concerts ~ Rustic Home ~ stars thin cuts ~ Overlay frames ~ CatScrapbooking.comI designed this layout with using a flip flap to hold the other tickets.  I am actually using a 4×4 flip flap to hold our other concert tickets. Here is what it looks like. I had not put it in a protective sleeve because of the glare for the photo so you can sort of see the white strip.

Concerts 2 ~ Rustic Home ~ Stars Thin Cuts ~ Frame Overlay ~ CatScrapbooking.comFor this layout I used the following products:

Little Hoopsters

My husband and I decided to enroll our son who is 3 in his first team sport ~ basketball.  We thought it would be fun to watch him run around and play.  Well little did we realize he really was not interested despite knowing a couple of his team mates.  Well over the eight weeks we just encouraged him to play and come support his team. He was not the only one on his team with the short attention span in part due to the average age of our team (the league was 3-5 and we had mostly 3 and some 4 year olds).  In the end he did start playing in the games and in the last few minutes of the last game he actually scored a basket!!

Since I volunteered to help coach for the last game, I decided to create a card for our coach and a bit of encouragement for the team.

Great Job card ~ catscrapbooking@gmail.comThis was the card I designed and here are the team treats.

Team gifts ~ basketball ~catscrapbookingTo make the stars I used my Artiste cartridge which has a star with two slits.  I had to extend the slit on the large Outdoor Denim star to accommodate the Gogurts.  I used my Artbooking cartridge to cut the basketball. I was really happy the way these turned out and so did the kids.
