Welcome to the Everything ABC’s Blog Hop!
For this hop we will be featuring the letter “Q”. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their “Q” element will be featured in their post.
If you have just hopped onto my blog, welcome! If you just hopped here from LINDA NORMAN’S Blog then you are in the right place. The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating consultants on Linda’s blog HERE.
The letter “Q” can be a challenge to come up with ideas ~ at least for me. The first thing that always pops into my head is Quilling paper, but I wanted to do something different. The next crafty thing that comes to mind is Quilting…. humm… that could work. So I decided to get very creative in using my Cricut Design Space I used the new Artistry cartridge to weld and make a quilt pattern. Here is how it turned out.
To make the quilted pattern I used the images found on page 7 of the new Artistry Cartridge. I used these two images and sliced and welded to crate the square. I then used the new Zoe paper to crate the pattern. I added the stiching with a white gel pen. The Life is Beautiful comes from the Your Own Kind of Wonderful stamp set D1627. I used White ink to stamp it and it did turn out sort of light but I like the subtle effect. I used Whisper as my base and for the boundaries of the quilt.
