Fire Station Tour Layout

I have been finding a bit more time or should I say I have been making a bit more time to do some of the things I love to do.  I have fallen very behind on my scrapbooking, so I have been focused at getting back into it.  I was able to design a layout of my son’s first fire station tour back in 2014.

For this layout I used a couple of the Jack paper pack along with some of the Enchantment Fundamentals.  I also added a little of the Adventure ribbon.

Welcome to the Stampers with an Attitude Blog Hop!!  The Stampers with an Attitude is the team lead by Kimberly Moss.  For this hop the Stampers with an Attitude are going to be showcasing art work with the Calypso paper pack and/or Beach theme.

I have to admit I was a bit unsure about this paper pack because of all the pink… I am not a pink girl and I have a boy so not my go to color.  I decided to challenge myself anyway since it does have blues, greens and black.  Well to my surprise I have really begun to fall for this bright and cheerful paper pack.

My Layout Challenge #10

Well I almost thought I was not going to make it this week.  I was a busy week and every opportunity I had to work on my layout was met with a bit of creative block.  But I had a break through and was able to complete this layout.

Regatta ~ Happy place ~ CatScrapbooking.comThis was the last layout of our rained out Florida trip from two years ago.  This day was our only sunny day which was our first official day, since we arrive a day late due to missed connections – a whole other story….

My Layout Challenge #8

Here is my 8th layout for my personal challenge.  We are dog lovers but more specifically Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes.  For the last 18 plus years huskies have been part of our life.  So anytime I see a cute huskies in crafting supplies, I just got to have it :-).  Well the Polar Pals paper and stickers by Doodlebug Design caught my eye because it had …. a husky.  Anyway I have been wanting to design something with it and then found these photos.

Puppy Love ~ Layout #8 ~ snowflakes ~ CatScrapbooking.comI really love how this layout turned out. Unfortunately it is hard to see but I did use Jumping Geometrics D1637 to stamp the Whisper cardstock. Here is the list of products used:

My Layout Challenge #6

Happy Valentines!  I have another layout to share with you this week.

Kaleidoscope ~ Corn on the Cob Layout ~ Catscrapbooking.comI was not really sure about the Kaleidoscope paper pack as it looked so bright and how could I use it for a boy.  Well I have found it really easy by focusing on the greens and yellows.

Kaleidoscope ~ Corn on the Cob detail 2 ~ CatScrapbooking.comI love my Ink Blot stamp Set as I love the look of it and it is the perfect way to add color to a layout.  I also love the fact I was able to use a pattern paper for the journaling tag.

Kaleidoscope ~ Corn on the cob detail 1 ~ CatScrapbooking.comThe Corn on the cob is a Cricut cut which is part of my paid subscription.  There are still times when I need to use my Silhouette as Cricut still does not let you modify the designs.  I cannot figure a way to cut the chevrons in half with my Cricut.

Products used:

  • Kaleidoscope paper pack X7202B
  • Cardstock ~ White Daisy, Pear, Sweet Leaf, Canary and Pacifica
  • Ink ~ Canary and Pacifica
  • Stamp Sets ~ Ink Blot D1660 and Cheers 2016! S1511 (retired)
  • Ribbon from my stash
  • Cricut and Silhouette

For my “O” element I decided to focus on a layout based on my son’s OUTFIT.  I was able to pick up a few other “O”s along the way ~ OUTDOOR DENIM, OVERSPRAY and OTHER PAPER Co.  Here is the layout:

ABC's O ~ Overspary ~ airplanes ~ catscrapbooking.comI love Close to My Heart cardstock as the colors will complement almost any paper pack.  I was able to uses Colonial White, Glacier and Outdoor Denim with this layout.  The paper pack is one I have from my stash ~ Rough & Tumble by Bella Carta.
